[The rain is pounding.

The sound of it is deafening between the sounds of hushed breaths and rustled sheets. The smell of it is wet and clean like freshly-opened flower petals and damp earth. The windows are a little foggy, hard to see inside, hard to see outside. It feels a little like being isolated, if for a little while; isolated from the spin and blur of a world that sometimes moves too fast to keep up.

Skin on skin, heart on heart, lips on lips; she's kissing to taste him, breathing him in. The hint of tea and honey on his tongue and the dampness of rain (sweat?) in his hair tugs at her heart. There's such finality there; she can feel it with each touch, each kiss, each breath, each time she draws back just long enough to catch his eyes -- silent reassurance that, yes, this is okay.

This is really okay.

She'll wake up and find you gone again, won't she?

She's replayed that moment in her mind during times like this; time and time again wondering if she should be fighting him, and time and time again berating herself for thinking such a thing. Allen, he's Allen, that won't change.

[ It's good to see that how he's doing after she helped him in the desert a few weeks back, so she prepares the both of them some tea. She pours it into cups, one for him and one for herself, smiling all the while, and gently pushing his cup towards him. What she doesn't tell him is that she had slipped an aphro into his tea, just to mess with him. It won't effect her, of course-- exactly what kind of sorceress hermit would she be if she would be affected by her own spell? Should he drink it, the effect would be instantaneous.

Playing it gracefully, she leans back, taking her own tea into her hands and giving him an appraising look. ] I'm glad to see you are well. But tell me, is there another reason you have called me over? [ She speaks as if she's talking business. A hermit always does so. ]

Normally, the carnival is something of a safe haven for him. Everyone knows him, most of them have known him since he was a child, and watched him grow up. There are a few people there that he doesn't get along with, certainly, but everyone, everyone understood what this place was, how good they all had it because of him and his father. All of them would look after him, protect him.

But this was a new carnival site for them, and he had gone into the nearby town to get some things for tonight that he didn't particularly want the rest of the carnival knowing about. Nothing too lewd, just some oils and a bottle of wine, but still fairly obvious what they were for.

And who.

Granted, he'd mostly tried to keep... whatever the hell it was that was happening between Axel and him... under wraps, and had been mostly successful. But if he'd suddenly shown up with a bottle of wine and something scented and slick, well, it would be far too easy to put two and two together, and he really didn't want to make it that obvious.

So sneaking away it had been, and now, he was a bit lost, sneaking back, these wooded outskirts of this town not ones he had already traversed a million times. And it was a sad fact that, where there were fairs, there were... less than savory people, come to enjoy the press of humanity in an area, as well.

And three of them found him, on his way through the woods, sun dipping below the horizon.

It was all too easy to find those unsavory sorts clustering around fairgrounds, unfortunately--and more unfortunately still, it seemed to be even easier for said unsavory sorts to find him. One flicked a switchblade in a gesture that seemed nothing short of idle, murderous--or at least, sadistic--habit, over and over without even looking at the knife he played with; he was too busy smirking as he slid into Gustave's path, running his eyes over him and his prizes.

"That's some mighty nice wine you got there, boy..... Headed to some fancy party, are you?" The other two were close behind him--then beside him, fanning out to better surround Gustave. He didn't look like a very tough mark at all, especially when it was one against three..... Besides, a bottle like that looked expensive, at least enough so that they seemed confident that there was more money where that came from.

The red eyes meet Shinji and the sudden desire to wrap his arms around the other overcomes him, like a desire he can't fight and he clings to the boy, gasping against Shinji's ear and feeling so hot he can't begin to explain it ]
