HOW TO PLAY

  1. Subject line: your character / canon / prefs (whether you're open to cross-canon/misfires/etc). Comment: a "missed connection" ad placed by your character. You can make it as specific or as open-ended as you want. Get creative. Make liberal use of Noodle Incidents.
  2. Reply to any ads that are directed at your character. Or look like they might be directed at your character. Or can somehow be construed to indicate your character. (Just remember to respect people's stated limits.)
  3. Thread your little hearts out.

I was really busy four days ago but we locked eyes across the market. Or I think we did. Either way, I felt something almost electric. You fumbled with the thing you were buying (I was too far away to see exactly what) and then started freaking out at the shopkeep.

Whoever you are, I'd love to invite you for tea. My name is Byleth, and I'm a professor at Garreg Mach Monastery, but I hit the markets on the first weekend of the month.

Sorry if this seems weird but I was sitting outside this tiny coffee shop with an old iron sign and super old-fashioned furniture inside and I saw you hanging out inside on Saturday. I drew your face while you were reading something but I never did actually get the chance to stop you to let you know. I really liked your profile, and you were concentrating or maybe zoning out so you never noticed. I would like to see you again and maybe ask you to sit for a regular portrait that's not as stalkery sounding. Maybe back at that coffee shop. I stop there after school every couple of days, so late afternoons are best. You'll know me by my sweater, it's from Sanity's Fall's last tour, with the SF and the list of cities in white.

It happened on August 25th at 2:18 PM. I was the one who shouted "STOP! POLICE!" before the android I was pursuing turned around and slammed my head against the hood of your vehicle, leaving a dent. I am sure it was yours, because you were the only one in the vicinity who was yelling about it. The blow temporarily distorted my scanners and I was unable to see either your face or your license plate clearly, but my scrambled playback of the event shows that you have nice eyes. Hello. This is Byleth Eisner. I believe it was me who you saw, as that time and scenario line up in my memory. I hope you are alright now; it was quite the hefty blow and anyone would be disoriented by it.

I will forward your number to my father, Jeralt; it's his car. I was borrowing it at the time. He was quite angry at the damage at first, until after I finished retelling. I believe he will be grateful for your direct message regarding the damage.
