Whether it’s the little mermaid or 20,000 leagues, this meme is all about the mysterious depths of the sea and the creatures that live in it. Which now very well may include you. Are you a marine biologist, a submarine explorer, or a creature of the dark and murky abyss? Perhaps, like Ahab, you’ve spent years on the waves, hunting some creature that lurks beneath. Perhaps you live in a house by the sea, and every night you watch the waves, but tonight the waves have dragged in something new and different.

There are unknown realms beneath the sea. Dread Cthulhu sleeps. Ariel sings. And adventure is awaiting.

How to play:
- Post with your character’s preferred role and a prompt or two, along with preferences and any canon or AU info that might be important.
- Venture forth into the watery deeps.

[ventus had never gone into town before - well, maybe once before if he really counted it. he had just arrived under mister eraqus' care at the lighthouse, mute and scared, and both terra and aqua had come down with a terrible cold that forced eraqus to take young ven into town with him. he hardly remembered much of the trip, too busy hiding himself in the draping fabric of eraqus' robes to admire the town and its people.

not when almost everyone who lived in town carried spears and fishing rods, nets, and other terrible things that ven grew to fear very early on in his life.

all that aside, this was the first time that he could remember going into town and it was on the back of an old pickup truck that took pity on the stupid teenager walking down the side of the road and looking ready to pass out. he stuck out a little among the wooden boxes carrying fish with his pale skin and light blonde hair. almost everywhere in these parts were tanned and freckled from time spent outside on the open waters. ven stuck out with his light features and even more so wearing a nearly pure white pull over hoodie made of the strangest fabric. not that he'd ever let anyone touch it if he could help it.

after being let off and waving goodbye to the driver, ven ventured further into town. uncertainty poisoned his steps as he had no idea which way to go. he was looking for someone, but in order to find anyone he'd have to talk to people and that just seemed like a tall task with so many people here.

he ends up in the town center sitting on a bench with a roasted fish skewer in hand as he watches the people go by. it gives him time to consider his next plan of action.]
