Prompts
- Watching: You've been watching this person as long as both they and you have been in this world. Maybe over years, maybe suddenly, things aren't the same when you look at them.
- Guilt: You realized that these pesky emotions are growing and you know this is against everything you know to be true. Your kind cannot love, and even if you could, this is wrong. You have known this person their entire life and thinking of them as more is unacceptable.
- Terrible Angel: You're not angelic at all and fail neatly at almost all the benchmarks, but when it comes to the one you guard, you don't folly.
- Righteous Fury: Usually, angels must be removed and impassive. You see your charge mistreated, though, and you lose control.
- Relegated to Guardian Angelhood: You used to be much more important, of a greater choir of angel. Then, you screwed up and got pushed down into the ranks of guardian angel. It would be easy to be bitter towards your charge. You aren't, for some reason.
- Can't Be Seen: The person you care for the most can't see you. It's typical angel protocol, yet you can't help but want to make yourself noticeable.
- Affecting Your Work: Your growing and sometimes erratic emotions make your job harder. You're getting sloppy. You may even allow your charge to be hurt or allow yourself to be conspicuous.
- Jealousy: You saw your charge with someone else and it...it really ruffled your feathers. Maybe you lost your cool. Hopefully, that won't mean bad mojo for the other person involved. No one would be any wiser if you made their head more attractive to bird droppings, though.
- Kiss: Can you kiss someone when you technically have no lips? They might just feel a pleasant breeze; still, you're kissing them, and this is...nice.
- How They'd Like You to Look: You've decided to make yourself known to them, and you want your appearance to be to their liking.
- Inhabiting the Vessel They Love: A bit more sinister than the above, but also somewhat practical. They already love this body, anyway.
- Revealing Yourself: You're taking the big step and coming into their life as an actual, tangible presence. Of course, "I'm your guardian angel" rarely gets the response you hope.
- Stay with You: You promise that you'll stay by their side always, now as a physical companion.
- Confessions: No matter the costs, you're revealing your true feelings.
- Deciding to be More: It's dangerous, it's unheard of; however, both of you want to become more than just angel and charge.
- Intimacy Without a Corporeal Form: They know you're there even when you're not in human form, and they want to touch you. This can be a smut option, but it doesn't have to be.
- Intimacy With a Corporeal Form: You're beginning to learn what it's like to be intimate with them while you're in this new form. Again, this can be a smut option, but it doesn't have to be.
- Wings: Letting someone touch your wings is the ultimate show of trust and, in angel terms, one of the closest things you have to sexuality.
- Called to the Mat: Your higher-ups have learned of your sins. Now, you're on trial. Will you deny your charge?
- Not Officially Yours: Problem number one: you're in love. Problem number two: it's with some other angel's charge.
- Second Chance: As previously stated, most guardian angels are created for that one special person. However, some angels whose charges have died young are allowed a second chance. Will this new person ever replace your old?
- Protection: Now is time to do the guarding - by any means necessary, especially now, after realizing just what your charge means to you.
- Fallen: Because of your sins, you've lost favor. You've been stripped of your heavenly grace and you've fallen.
- Immortal: You must deal with the implications that your charge will die and you will be sent on to a new heavenly job.
- Failed: You didn't do enough. You let yourself slip, and now your charge is dying. They were more than just a charge, so you must do what you can to let their soul pass on in the most peaceful manner possible. But can you let go?

Staci maybe had it the worst. He doesn't know how long it's been, but it's been days that he's been left sat here surrounded by the cult's indoctrination, with sins carved into his flesh and more bruise than boy, by now. They're starving him out, but he's already broken. He got through the first few days murmuring the Hail Mary until he couldn't, anymore, until the lack of food and water made him too parched to speak. For now, then, he just - sits, bound to a chair, with his eyes closed and his head drooping.
Angels are supposed to stay out of things, but Staci Pratt is going to die here.

Castiel doesn't often let people see his wings. For one, he likes keeping his presence as an angel hidden until he needs to reveal himself. But, mostly, his wings are sacred, one of the most personal things he still has about him. Unless he has to make use of them, he keeps his wings to himself.
Of course, there are always exceptions. Such as today, when Castiel finds himself facing down yet another violent and vocal group of "believers." He uses that term loosely; none of these people represent the Word of God. But they sure do enjoy basking in their own pride; supposedly, as the rumors went, a demon hid among them.
"You're no angel," one man sneers, ginger beard flaring in time with his nostrils. "Angels don't look like...whatever you are."
Castiel tilts his head in the man's direction, an expression Sam and Dean have come to refer to as his "bitchface" blatant on his face.
"And you would know, being the expert that you are," he replies, arching an eyebrow. His abilities allow him to read this man; he can see that he is so loud so that he might drown out his own homosexual desires. If he weren't being so rude and disrespectful, Castiel would try and offer support. But no; the man shoves several women out of his way just to get up in Castiel's face and shove his finger at his nose.
"No angel would ever look like you, sinner," he hisses, and Castiel understands, too, that there are several, ruder words the man would have liked to use in that moment.
"If you insist," Castiel sighs, taking a pointed step back. With a flash, his eyes are shining blue silver, and inky shadows in the shape of his wings sprout from behind his back, rising behind him like the tide. They aren't as full as they once were but they are still there.
"That answer your question?" He asks, letting his wings and eyes linger in their glow before allowing them to fade.
works for me!
The crowd parts as he moves through them to approach, and he doesn't look like a violent cult leader, not really. He's a touch over half feet tall, hair pulled back into a neat bun and eyes blue and relaxed behind yellow-tinted glasses. He raises a hand, passes next to Castiel with his palm up, fingers hovering where wings once were. He carries a book in the other, white and gold with Eden's cross on the front.
The other notable thing, perhaps the most important of them all, is that this little man is not a demon by any stretch of the imagination. He's very, very sick - psychosis - but he is no creature from Hell.
"Do you not see what this is, my children? A sign. Would God present us with an angel here and now, with four seals broken, were he not to guide us in the Great Collapse?" He sounds giddy - gleeful, awed.

Castiel studies him and the strange book in his hand; it does not resemble any Bible he has come to see or know.
"The Great Collapse?" He repeats, confused. "And what is this about four seals being broken?"
no subject
He does it now, with his brows shifting in a barely perceptible frown - he's not angry, no; he's just confused.
"Surely, you would know of the Collapse," he murmurs, dropping his voice and leaning in as if sharing some conspiratorial secret. "When the seven seals are broken, the world is cleansed of corruption and those who are pure, they walk forward through the gates of Eden and begin anew, a second chance --" He frowns, again, steps backwards with his hands out. "God has been speaking to me of this since I was a small child. My whole life has been spent preparing my family, my children, for this."
Back in, again; he could be a televangelist preacher if he wanted to, and it's not a surprise that he's gathered such a following. "You - God has sent you, I know this. To help us. To show us the way."
no subject
"Yes, well, I can tell you that I've never heard of this Collapse, and the only seals I know of are the ones that kept Lucifer in the cage, and those were broken long ago," Castiel explains, barging through his explanation with little regard for how his words might impact this man and his group of followers. Regarding the group before him, he has to wonder if this is one of those cults Dean had been telling him about.
"And I can also tell you that God didn't send me," he says. "No one has seen or heard from God in years."

No he becomes assigned to one Trouble Magnet Extraordinary, Barry Allen.
He thwarts Zoom, arranges for Ralph Dibny to survive long enough for Barry to save him and he's still got his hands full.
Honestly if he hadn't died Barry would be an even bigger mess.
But it's the loss of Nora Allen that drives him to the world of the living, to check in on his troublesome ward as he grieves her loss.
.. Not because he cares or anything.
As an exhausted and demoralized Barry heads home, he'll find a familiar face, holding an even more familiar and ridiculous reindeer mug.
"Even after all this time, you're still out of marshmallows."

At the same time, he's terrified. What if it's just Leonard from another time? What if it's the Speed Force, come to taunt him? A million possibilities are running through his head.
