Pretty self-explanatory. No matter how awkward and unexpected they might be, there is always something exciting about them. Who is your company for the evening going to be? Will it be a person of your innermost dreams or someone you absolutely can't stand? And most importantly...

How are you going to handle it?

First date

-- You've never been out on a date before, so someone's decided to give you a helping hand.

On the rebound

-- You're recovering from a painful breakup, but your friends/family think they found a great person for you anyway.

Not strangers at all

-- Someone thought you didn't know your date. Turns out you know them from somewhere.

Hideously awkward

-- Hey wait, that's your ex/boss/doctor/distant family member! Or, even worse, it's that person you absolutely despise. This will go well!

Existing partner

-- You two are just acting like strangers to spice up your love life.
6.

Future spouse

-- Unfortunately, you have to have an arranged marriage. Fortunately, you get to meet that special someone for a date beforehand. How will the night go?
7. ...or, instead of rolling, come up with your own scenario!

4. Play out the date. This meme can be completely fluffy, smutty, or hilarious. It doesn't even have to be romantic.

( honestly, the only reason he agreed to it in the first place was because there was a hefty lump of money in it for him. a bet between drunken gamblers that dice wouldn’t actually take the bait and go on a blind date for drinks with someone of their choosing.

but they had miscalculated dice’s propensity for thrills — and of course, money. a date was easy enough. it wasn’t exactly his thing, but spending the night talking to someone, and hopefully having them offer to pay, didn’t seem like the worst thing he could do to scrounge up some extra cash.

... after all, the parlors had been cruel to him lately and there was only so much charity riou and his own division could afford him.

so here he was. not at all dressed up for the occasion, but at least he’s showered and made an effort not to smell like the chimney stack he actually is. he doesn’t drink all that often — it detracts from his ability to read the table — but a quick drink and snack for the sake of a bit is fine. not like anyone has to ever hear about this ever again. )
