Human poker is very strange.

Fine, I didn't want those chips anyway. Got too many chips as is.

[Loki looks across the table at Crowley's shrinking pile of chips and raises an eyebrow]

You know, we could always play for something more interesting than plastic chips.

[An eyebrow raises behind his glasses.]

[The rest of the hand is dealt, and Crowley takes a peek at his hand.]

[Crowley shifts a bit in his seat, examining his cards. He pauses, an eyebrow quirking up.]

Are we playing by human rules or did you have another game in mind?

The looser chooses which item to remove.

[Loki draws another card, keeping the same smirk on his face as he inspects it.]

Let's stick to these rules for now. Perhaps we will change things up after this hand.

[Crowley hums, drawing another card himself.]

Alright, [He lays his hand out before Loki, it's a mess.] I'm beat.

[Loki reveals his own hand. Not the best, but far better than whatever Crowley had going]

You know somehow I thought you'd be better at this.

[Crowley lets out a sharp breath of air, yanking his tie off of his neck.

You know, it's been a while. I'm playing what I'm dealt.

Oh, of course.

[Loki takes the tie and moves it to his side of the table. The cards all float up and shuffle themselves before landing in front of Crowley]

Perhaps if you deal things will turn out in your favor.

[Crowley sighs, taking the deck. He cuts it, then deals them both a hand.]

Oh yes, I absolutely cannot wait to win whatever bright green accoutrements you plan to pass on to me, I love looking like a christmas tree.

[Loki looks at his hand. Not the best.

A subtle twitch of the nose changes that]

Excuse you, I am wearing dark greens today. Well, with one exception.

[He grins]

But I don't think you'll be getting that far.

[Crowley waved him off.]

Nothing personal, it clashes with my hair.

[He takes a look at his own hand, determining his next move. Ironically, Crowley wasn't cheating.]

[Loki takes another card and reveals his hand. It's rather good]

Ah, for heaven's sake...

[Crowley shows his hand, which is significantly worse.]

You're not getting my jacket, mate.

Oh, you get it back at the end of the game.

[He bobbed his head to the side as if he was okaying the idea.]

I'm holding you to that.

[He shrugs the jacket off and tosses it at Loki.]

[He grinned, shuffling the cards slightly and dealing another hand. He felt good about this one.]
