ANGST MEME


Sometimes we all want to play some angst and see just how far our characters can and will fall.

1. just depressed.
Things are tough, you're feeling worn out, or whatever the case, you're depressed. You need help or someone else thinks you do anyway.

2. abandoned.
You were left behind by everyone you hold dear and now you're forced to see how well they've adjusted, how happy they all are while you're screaming inside.

3. sick.
Cold, flu, or something even worse, all you can do is lay back and let someone take care of you.

4. fight.
You've been fighting nonstop with the other person and it just keep escalating.

5. break up.
You're being broken up with and they won't reconsider... Damn.

6. separated.
For some reason, you've been separated from the other person for a long time.

7. kidnapped.
You've been held captive for how long now? Maybe they've been torturing you even, using your blood to write ransom notes, threatening to cut off fingers to send next, etc. Rescue is on the way though, right?

8. beaten up.
Just because someone didn't like you or maybe they wanted something you had, whatever the case is, you're coming home sporting some nasty wounds and bruises.

9. jealousy.
You just have this undeniable jealousy suddenly and you need to let it out.

10. cheated on.
This goes beyond just suspicion and you have full on proof of what your lover has done. How do you handle it?

11. apathetic.
You're not sad, you're not happy, you just... don't feel much anymore. The sparkle of life has gone right out of you and you're just going through the motions now.

12. addicted.
Drugs, alcohol, whatever your drug of choice is, you can't fight the draw and you can't draw yourself out of the hole, but the other person is going to try.

13. bad romance.
You know this isn't good for either of you, but you can't stop now.

14. fear.
Nightmares, the feeling someone is following you, etc. You can't shake the feeling.

15. insanity.
You're seeing things and hearing them, waking up only to realize you've done things you don't remember or you're in a place you weren't before. You're losing it and you don't know what to do.

16. guilt.
It's eating you up inside and you have to tell someone about it now. You want to be punished and you won't take no for an answer.

17. loss
You've lost something dear to you.

18. wild card.
Combine some options or make your own!

[ Up until he'd stepped out of the Bentley, Crowley was relaxed and content. The past few hours had been lovely; they'd had an early dinner at the restaurant Aziraphale had been eyeing up, they'd gone for a walk afterwards as the late afternoon had turned to evening. Both probably wondering if a particular question had been on the other's mind for that night but not mentioning it. This challenge would be one best left to sit for a few days, maybe weeks. Honestly, the knowledge that it'd eventually be asked at all was enough to tide him over.

The rest of the night looked to be just as idyllic, similar to most of the nights that'd come before it. The very last thing Crowley was expecting to see was the state of the front garden, and then indeed the front of the house as a whole, and it's in that order his eyes are pulled; plants ripped up, shredded leaves carpeting ruined grass, smashed in windows, front door weirdly untouched, except for the fact that it was just eerily ajar. ]

What...the hell...

[ He didn't say it loudly, nor did he sound all that enraged, though he was sure that would come after. At first there was only shock, confusion. And if this was the outside...

The weird - yet familiar - energy still ebbing from the cottage hadn't escaped his notice, and although he wanted to tell Aziraphale to wait outside (a very human instinct that he caught and shoved back down; this was hardly an American movie and the Angel wasn't his helpless date,) all he managed to do was find his wrist without looking back at him, as though he needed the assurance he wasn't just seeing things.

He would have vastly preferred that option, but the longer he took it in, the less likely that seemed. ]

Deleted Scene From S1E26

This was almost the worst day of Togusa's life. Hell, it's still the worst, but the point is that it was almost the last.

The fireworks are over, everybody's gotten their damned laughs in at everybody else's expenses, and Togusa at last beat a retreat when his frayed nerves couldn't take any more. He slid into an interrogation room, one of the only places that he could be alone and quiet and the whole spinning world could just stop.

Togusa is curled in on himself in the chair, hands gripping at his arms to try to still the persistent shake in them. In the quiet and the stillness, it's as if he is finally noticing all of the details of the world around him. Like his unconscious choice to grab this damned blue hooded parka, his choice to play the part that was apparently laid out before him. That, according to the guys, he had no choice in at all. Because everybody else knew he was going to make it.

His head raises, just an inch, and he startles at the sight of himself in the room's one-way mirror. Surprise, and then his lip curls in anger, just for a second. It's all he has energy for. He wants to throw off that damned coat, ball it up and cast it as far away from himself as he can. But it's so cold in here right now. Later. He's too drained for it right now. His head falls again.

The only item on the table is Togusa's Mateba, cylinder open and unloaded now, unfired. That is the artifact in the room, the only evidence that somehow things didn't turn out the way Togusa had expected it to. The only thread to prove that this is real, and not just a dream. He couldn't predict this. He couldn't see a future past a few hours ago. How can this moment exist? He almost did.. the unthinkable.

The unthinkable to him, but perfectly predicted by everyone else.

But there was one thing that pushed him to this point, one other artifact out there in the world that still exists now, when he thought that it- that she was gone? Then the unthinkable became the only possible thought.

Major.

He has to see her, really see her, lay eyes on her, not just get some ping on the net that he's got completely turned off in his brain now. She needs to be real. And then maybe.

Maybe then he'll really believe that this nightmare is over.
