THE SAUNA OF BONDING MEME

The world we live in can be a royal pain in the keister sometimes, whether it be because of your job, family problems, school, or just life in general. Thankfully, there's tons of different ways to relax yourself and let your troubles fade away...

This meme is for the people who'd rather burn their problems away with steam...and a nice discussion.
 

 

[HOW TO PLAY]

1. Post as your character with their name, canon, and whatever else you see fit (if you'd like smut, for example) in the subject line.
2. For one reason or another, your character is now in a sauna, wrapped in one or more towels. Is your character dead? A giant robot? Someone who'd never enter a sauna in their life? Doesn't matter, they are in one now. (Feel free to leave your comments blank or set up the scenario!)
3. Reply to others! Your own character is now sitting next to the poster's character in a unisex sauna.
4. For some reason, both characters feel oddly close...almost as if they were best friends (or at least, not enemies). As a matter of fact, suddenly they just want to talk to each other about anything, from why they hate their boss, to the last thing they saw on TV, to their mother's secret affair with the milk man. ALSO...they cannot leave until each character has confessed at least one thing to the other.
5. Play out the scene! Will it be just bonding? Smut? A competition to see who can take the heat the best? Totally up to you!
6. Have fun!

Thomas leaned back against the wall, letting out a deep, contented sigh as he relaxed in the steam. It felt good to finally get some relief, given the signs of wear and tear on his body.

"That's the stuff. Always wanted to get one of these rooms."

[Armstrong has literally no idea why he's here. He doesn't even remember deciding to enter a sauna. However...that isn't to say he's complaining, as it's quite the opposite. After all, it's not like he has a problem being shirtless, what with a physique that has been passed down the Armstrong line for generations.]

I must say this steam is simply DIVINE!

[...and it seems he's yet to notice Ishimaru on the side of him...or perhaps he has and he's trying to start up conversation, who even knows.]

[This is by far not the weirdest situation Alice has found herself in. Or the most partially naked if one counts the Fleshmaiden dress. With the towel around her gaunt figure one can see the burn scars on her back and chest, but she's not going to much trouble to conceal them.]

[NM, NM. Although the brightly colored hardboiled egg needs no towels, it rolls into the sauna while giving no fucks. Small children who believe and individuals who are in tune with the occult and spiritual world might notice that the egg has/had legs.

[Raven stops when she sees Charles. She is very blue and very naked under her towel and he's already expressed his dislike for that sort of thing, but then... He's naked too. In a way, that almost makes it worse and, in another, maybe she just wants to ignore the problem and hopes it goes away.]

[Currently the Monarch is pacing back and forth, rather than sitting and relaxing. He's having quite the animated conversation with him, not really paying too close attention to the fact that Bruce is sitting to the other side trying to relax.]

The Finnish used to dig pits in large slopes creating a cave [ he makes an example with his hands ] where they would make fires around stone and toss water to create steam. The temperatures would incline so high that, in the dead of winter, they were sweating. All nice and warm.

Revolutionary, really. Considering the era.

And so then I had to leave with Ru-- I mean, Ivan, and that was hard because I really missed Berwald, but I had more freedom there. And it's nice to see different places, right? And I got to use my old language more, which is nice.

[Congrats, you're now sitting next to a small, slightly chubby blonde who's been telling you his life story while gradually increasing the temperature in the sauna quite happily and occasionally referring to Nations as though they were people. It's getting pretty hot, but he seems fine still.]

[Tohko couldn't quite remember why she was in the sauna or how she had gotten there, but the heat felt nice and relaxing, and after everything that was going on in the Tower, it felt nice. Shen noticed a blue-haired boy sitting near her, and started talking to him. No reason why..just because.]

You know..I've never been to one of these places before. But it feels rather nice.

[ Well, this is a bit embarrassing, isn't it? Seek out alternative venues for relaxation away from the pub, end up walking into the only sweatbox in the city that plays host to your annoying flatmate's even more annoying brother.

Relatedly, getting in was a bit on the pricier side of what John considered fair for entertainment, so he's not going to just up and leave, despite the bit of awkwardness. And he's not, you know, going to be impolite either. All right, just dispense greetings, there's plenty of space around in which to pretend like neither of them are here. ]

[No matter how much time Estonia spends in one sauna or another with his best friend, he always seems to express the bad habit of needing to be doing something else. The advent of mobile technology meant that instead of ruining books by bringing them into the sauna with him, he could let his cellphone get questionably moist while they relaxed. He does seem relaxed, at least, stretching his back out and relaxing against the wall of the sauna as he plays pong on his phone.]
