Nature is no respecter of persons, my friends. Whether it be childhood friends, newlyweds, or one-night stands, a single decision or accident can change everything, and there will be three people instead of just two.

Congratulations! The characters in these threads and those who reply to them are now expecting babies, no matter what their unique situation may be. Of course, depending on the characters, this might go over like a lead balloon. But wait! Even if the decision to have a baby was made and was consensual, the process is no walk in the park. There is lots to do...and only nine months to do it. Nine potentially drama-filled months.

HOW TO PLAY

• Comment with your character, preferences, etc.
• Not all options here are fluffy and happy. Some are potentially angsty or possibly triggering. Tread lightly. Be sure to mention what you want and what you don't want.
• Reply to others.
• For this, male characters can get pregnant because why not.

PROMPTS

• How'd It Happen: What led up to this event? How are you in this situation?


• Realization: There's a wrench in the works...or maybe it was expected, but you're just realizing you're pregnant.


• Positive Reaction: Yes, after all this time and planning! You're finally ready for a family.


• Negative Reaction: Oh, no. This is terrible. You're in no position to take care of a child!


• Freak Outs: But...how? You're a human, she's an alien, how -


• Deciding What to Do: If this wasn't planned, there needs to be a plan of action now.


• Keep it Secret: You're attempting to keep your pregnancy a secret from your partner. This is only a bandaid for the bigger problem.


• Telling Others: The other people in you two's life have to know at some point.


• Drama: No one wanted you to have a kid and the anger is palpable.


• Morning Sickness and More: Everything hurts and the mornings are hell.


• Learning: If you're in a technologically advanced society, you may get to see an ultrasound. Otherwise, there are folk remedies that can be tried.


• Manipulation: One of you is using the prospect of a child to bend the other to their will and make them stay.


• My Body is a Cage: The person carrying the baby is having a decent amount of discomfort, mentally and physically.


• Showing: It's a secret no longer with an expanding stomach.


• Support: The partner who isn't carrying the child should do their best to be there and help out...


• Overprotective: ...but to a degree. Don't act like the partner carrying the child is made of paper.


• Getting Ready: The house or apartment or castle has to be babyproof.


• Heart to Heart: It's time to talk about the big changes before the happen. Where do the two of you stand?


• It's Happening: THE BABY IS COMING.


• Rough Going: Childbirth is still a dangerous affair and there's no smooth sailing for you. So pace if you're lucky, scream in the bed if you're not.


• Bad End: Not all new beginnings last. Sometimes, they become unhappy endings.


• Coming Home: Finally, parents and baby get to settle down.


• Getting Used to This: Well, maybe settle down. There's still crying in the night, feedings to do, diapers to change...

[ Thanks to the good fortune of the gods, or the gods from Souji's homeland to be precise, the wedding set off to go with overjoy for everyone. All the Paramount Lords and Ladies of the Six Kingdoms, the Northern Kingdom and some who knew and supported the Dragon Queen that sailed from Essos attended the Royal Wedding. Daenerys "believed" that his husband wouldn't notice, the presence of Jon and Dario only reinforced the vows of the couple to stay together more than ever.

Time passed without news of a possible third member in the Targaryen Royal Family, so he wanted to try cheering up his Queen by taking her to a secret place on the boundaries of The Reach, The Riverlands and The Crownlands. A place he had saved as a second wedding gift.

Almost to arrive, they are escorted by an army of five-hundred Unsullied including Greyworm and the new Commander of the Queensguard sent by Tyrion, Podrick Payne. Of course, Drogon couldn't be missed flying over them all. Mounted on a dark-brown stallion, the King Consort wears a light and slender to his frame red and black armor with leather pants, the crest of his family surrounded by a western dragon. He looks different and gallant to his usual clothes. ]

(She can't recall feeling happier or more fulfilled than when they were wed. Daenerys had been determined to continue feeling that way by providing their kingdom with an heir. They had tried and tried - passionately - to see it done and though she knew it would take time before any symptoms arose, she was feeling...anxious.

What if the Witch's curse remained in effect? If she could resurrect the woman to kill her again, she would. If the spell hasn't been broken by now, she fears it never will be. Therefore, all things considered, Souji's idea of a trip is precisely what she needs. Though hues in blue or purple or even green suit her better, Daenerys is wearing the Targaryen colors. She is seated in a carriage just in case she is carrying a child, but when Souji rides near enough, she speaks to him.)

[ Since that night when Souji returned from Essos and where both had promised to love each other and start a family, every night he prayed to his Gods to ask a wish to be fulfilled. A wish that the woman he loves could have a baby.

Like Daenerys, he is eager to know if she has had any symptoms related to a possible pregnancy. Even though he wishes to take care of her, their own obligations isolate each other most of the day. While still hoping, this trip may reinforce that wish.

The praise of his wife brings a hand to scratch the back of his neck timidly, his expression a bit incredulous. ]

Ahaha... I really feel strange in this attire.

(She finds herself watching him sometimes, envisioning what their babies will look like. Will they have his dark eyes and dark hair? Or will some of them look like proper little Targaryens? She doesn't care, really. She just wants...

Her hand comes to rest on her abdomen and she gives him a tender smile.)

When we reach our destination, I will help you adjust to it.

[ In the lands where Souji comes from it is known that hāfu have more Japanese features when the mother is a foreigner. The seed could be stronger than the Targaryens'. He only wishes for his children not to have his black flounder flat face (heh) but her eyes and her pretty nose.

He lowers his hand to hold the rein -- Podrick rides close and gives him a impish look when Daenerys finishes those words, to which he closes his eyes with a graciously restless grimace. ]

Ah... you will?

(Her poor husband. Daenerys adores his innocence when it comes to certain topics and she teases him a bit too much. She spies Podrick and gives him a pointed look that clearly says "don't", however it loses its effect when the carriage lurches forward slightly. Her vision swims and she suddenly feels her stomach rebelling. Insistently.)

Stop here. (She slips out of the carriage and finds some respite in the bushes on the side of the road. Though it embarrasses her thoroughly, she can't help her nausea and has to wait there while it passes, her body shaking.)

[ One could see he doesn't get used to when his wife and others try to joke with him about intimate topics. Even Podrick along with Bronn try to make him more open but his prudence as a Japanese is much more prominent.

Suddenly both Souji and Podrick stop cold their horses when they hear the Queen's order -- her leaving the carriage alerts Souji to immediately dismount and with a gesture gives his reins to the Lord Commander, turns to Greyworm (who couldn't guess what was happening) before following his wife through the bushes. ]

Make them stop for know, Greyworm-san.

[ With a nod from him, he can only hear the Commander of the Queen's Army speak loudly in High Valyrian as he moves away from the entire caravan. A bit far away from them, he finds her in an almost sick state, holding her body close to steady her.

He looks terribly concerned. ]

Dany... love, are you alright?

(She will be grateful for him giving the necessary orders...later. Daenerys hears him approach and then she feels his arms around her. Despite her stomach aching, she finds the strength to smile weakly.)

Souji... This is...a good sign!

(Though her hand trembles, she places his palm on her abdomen, breathing shakily.)

The last time I felt this way, I was -

(She is almost afraid to say the words aloud.)

( even when she is feeling strange and dizzy, her smile could bright the entire place, despite being stuck halfway. until she holds his hand to touch her belly, then it is when he realizes his wife’s words.

his eyes widen, without believing it can be real. like her, he doesn't dare to say the words too. )

(Daenerys touches his lips before he can finish, her cheeks pink with wonder and joy.)

Don't say anything. Not yet. But - (Tears well in her eyes and she embraces him, shaking.) Souji!

(If they've created a little life, no baby has ever been more loved or wanted!)

( at the feel of her fingers, souji is still dumbfounded at the possibility, given her symptoms, which were the same as his older sister when she was carrying her first child.

the tears and the glomp though take him by surprise... not that it is something bad! excuse him, he is trying to process he will become a father for sure. )

(His silence puzzles her and she touches his cheek, stroking her thumb over his skin.)

We have been trying for awhile. This is what you wanted, isn't it?

( ah.

he didn't mean to remain silent for so long. )

Y-Yes! I'm just-- I don't want you to take it the wrong way.

( on the outside, there is bliss on his face... on the inside, he can't help feeling scared of becoming a father. for the first time, he is afraid of dying leaving his love life and their child alone, which was the main reason why he never wanted a wife and a first born, whether out of obligation or not.

souji loves daenerys so ardently... he wanted to give her everything she longed for. anything... for her.

his head leans against her palm with such affection, albeit his expression seemed... troubled. )

Remember what I told you about this... matter, right?

(His words initially make her heart sink. Is he having second thoughts? Yet his concerns are understandable once he explains and she looks slightly relieved.)

Souji... (Daenerys traces the lines on his forehead, trying to soothe them away.) This child is a blessing. Don't worry about the future - there isn't anything we can do about the days ahead. Instead, let's enjoy the time we have together and...with them.

(She touches her stomach to emphasize her final words.)

I want to have your baby. I will never regret carrying them or being their mother.

( her happiness is also his. at that, his expression lightens up a little, joining their hands together as she touches her belly. ) I never wanted someone else to be my son or daughter's mother more than you.

Let's go... everyone is waiting for us.

They will be beautiful and sweet. (She squeezes his hand and rises, slightly unsteady, to her feet.) We can celebrate once we arrive. Though I would like to keep it between us for a night at least.

( there's a chuckle at that. ) They will be, indeed! I want them to be like their mother!

( he blinks at her before giving a slow nod. well... all things considered, she wants to be sure before telling anyone. a mischievous look and smile are shown to her. )

And... how would you like to celebrate, my Queen?

I want them to have your strength. (Her eyes warm and she walks back to the carriage with him, never relinquishing his hand.) I will tell you my ideas after we arrive. Otherwise you might find it difficult to ride your horse!

( those who are following them (especially greyworm and podrick) seemed a little relieved at their queen's comeback as souji orders them to continue the route. the last thing she says has him blush faintly, sheepish – )
