DRABBLE! (From Wiki) A short work of fiction of one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.




How to play -




1. Top-level with your character. Include prefs and info as you like.


2. Others respond to your top level with a tag of exactly 100 words in length, inspired by one of 100 prompt words below. Take it from there.


3. Optional hard mode! Every tag in your thread has to be drabble-length - or you can stick to it being just the starter, I'm not the cops.

While it’s generally true that demons keep their wings better groomed than their Holy counterparts, Aziraphale was a particularly strong example of a stereotypically frumpy-feathered angel.

“It’s not as if anyone is going to see them,” he huffed, sounding for all the world like a human arguing that wearing ratty underwear is a perfectly defensible fashion choice. “The last time I had them out was over a century ago!”

Technically, the last time had been a few days ago, but that was only very briefly. It didn’t count, anyway, as the angel’s appearance was the last thing on anyone’s mind.

It’s not difficult to see that Earth does it all on its own. Good things happen, bad things happen, they happen on their own. Sometimes really good things happen---take the Classic 99. Vanilla ice cream, bit of flake. It’s delicious, it’s simple, and humans made that. They made it all by themselves, no divine influence, no nonsense like that. Oh, some of the more horrible things that happened like the wars and the Spanish Inquisition, they were really, really horrible, but Crowley likes to think about the wonderful, simple things in life.

Without Earth, there’d be no ice cream.

Sherlock did not dare to read any words from the recent manuscript. John would not welcome criticism, or mockery, of his hard work, and Sherlock probably would if he did read it. The pages were tempting though. What would John say in this new book that everyone wanted? John would say they wanted to know that he was really human although, Sherlock would prefer that the general population was not aware of his ability to care about crime victims or what might happen to them. John was editing but did not want him to see it but the pages were so tempting!

Base isn't quiet no matter how deep into the night it gets. Distant footfalls on patrol, the scrape and grind of engine repairs, binary whistles and chirps from droids... Solitude never used to suit him. He found safe anonymity in shallow, noisy camaraderie with other Imperial cogs instead. He doesn't trust himself around people much since, well, everything, but the hum of their activity keeps him from being too lost in his own head, in creeping tentacles and cities turned to glass. Off duty now, all he's looking for is a dark corner to chase off the nightmares in peace.
