The Mating Season Meme

Human beings are a strange animal. While their need for sex can be less all-consuming than certain other species, they have it a lot more often and in a lot more creative ways. Still, they're not animalistic, you know. They have morals and modesty and humility. That's why they don't run around rutting like wild beasts.

At least, that is, when they have something separating them and the rest of the animal kingdom.

The multiverse is no longer keeping that status quo. A lucky selection of inhabitants will find themselves a bit wilder than usual. Suddenly, there is a drive to fuck, fight, and procreate like never before. Some, the most affected, might have animal ears and tails. But even if some don't, all will be changed on the inside. Many are in "heat," and it can be sensed by everyone. Of course, this leads to the expected. Call of nature and all that, you know. Those in heat will be driven to offer themselves up, the urge to be bred extremely strong. Even to those with strong wills can't resist the siren song forever. Dominant personalities will become very dominant, and submissives will do anything to please their mates.

Sex isn't the only thing this mating season entails, however. There will also be the instinct to fight over mates, and then to protect the lover and the possible offspring growing inside them. Some might even have the desire to take multiple mates. You know, got to keep the line going. All in all, things might get a bit...hairy.

Just a few notes:
-This doesn't follow "traditional" gender/biology roles. Female characters can be alphas, male characters can get pregnant (if you wish), and same-sex couplings are perfectly viable.
-If your character has animal ears and a tail, that doesn't lock them to one certain species. For example, if a guy has dog ears, he can still mate with catgirls and such.
-Feel free to mix in other kinks, such as lactation for cowgirls and anything else you can think of. Noncon is also possible. Just be respectful of others' limits.
-You can leave your comment blank or come up with a basic set-up.

[would some Ellie be okay? I have a big thing for Ellie as a werewolf. While I'd prefer to avoid sex in animal form, there's still plenty of heat-stuff available. I'm also perfectly happy to do any mix of genitalia for this, including Ellie doing penetration type stuff. Ellie could go either Dom or sub, but I see her more as slightly subby... but that doesn't mean she couldn't top, or fight off other people for Ana Rose.

Or it could be a thing of trying to weather the storm together to avoid pregnancy. Or something else, just let me know! I can send you a kink list from another character so you have an idea of where I am, if you want.]

( I avoid sex in animal form as much as possible, yeah. The werebear form of Ana is sexless and PG-13 so no way that can happen. Her heat happens just in general, in her human form. I don't mind having Ana as either the futa or receiving the penetration, so it's all up to you! And Ana tends to be switch a lot during heat.

[Ellie didn't know if it was lucky or unlucky that her own heat coincided with Ana's this year. Her own heat cycles weren't very regular yet, but they were powerful when they came. It was inconvenient, but not surprising. At nineteen her body was probably finished growing, but Ellie's heat cycles were still settling. They tended to come twice a year, avoiding the winter months.

This time, Ellie's heat had started last week, just as Ana's had. Ellie couldn't help but thank anything that might be listening that Joel wasn't a shifter, or she would never live it down. He couldn't smell her constant arousal through the month, or hear her whimpers when it got to be too much. Living with someone fully human was a blessing in that regard. On the other hand, that meant he didn't get it.

If it were anyone else, Ellie would have been able to ignore it. But she had been crushing on Ana badly for over a year, now. Ana was beautiful and lovely and so much more outgoing than Ellie, in all the right ways. She was just... kind, and she made Ellie feel young. Giddy, like she didn't have to worry about anything. Just being around her made Ellie flush excitedly. Now, with their hearts in sync?

Ellie would do anything for her. Every time Ellie caught Ana's scent, she couldn't stop a shiver. She wanted, wanted, and she could feel herself getting moist any time she was around the woman, desperately so. Every time she caught a whiff of Ana in the past week, Ellie had bolted in the opposite direction, afraid of what she might do otherwise.

The worst, though, were the dreams--Ellie couldn't stop dreaming and fantasizing about Ana. She wanted to get on her knees and beg Ana to ravish her - she wanted Ana to throw her around and hold her up against a wall and fuck her until Ellie couldn't see. She wanted.

When Ellie found herself sniffing a little too closely at where Ana had been seated for breakfast, Ellie gave up and opted to go for a run in her wolf form, hoping to clear her head with hunting. Instead of banishing the thoughts, however, it condensed them into a single point of need. Her wolf-brain was very singular in its thoughts, and while Ellie ran like her life depended on it, her thoughts kept circling to Ana's smell.

Her smell...

Ellie took a deep breath, nostrils flaring, and suddenly that was all she could smell. Ana was right there, not so far away, and Ellie had never known such wanting in her life.

She couldn't argue her paws out of turning and slinking towards Ana. If nothing else, Ellie was Wolf - silent and quick through the forest. It didn't take long for Ellie to find Ana, and she considered from downwind.

After a long moment, Ellie reared up into her human form, aware she was completely naked and not caring. Instead, she looked across the clearing, half shaded by the trees, and waited for Ana to notice her. Her bare toes dug into the moss.]

(OOC: are you interested in a specific setting? Ellie's canon story is best suited for post-apocalypse/low tech stuff (given she wandered around the US with Joel for months and was put in a lot of fighting/survival situations), but anything works for me. And do let me know if this works as a started.)
