Some things don't need explanations. Chicken wings. Wonderful weather. Guilty pleasures like Michael Bay movies. This meme is one of those things. It's simple: one character is in another's lap, and eventually the two get hot and heavy. Whether it's a friend sitting on a lap because there's no room, couples cuddling, or a stripper giving a lap dance, one thing will lead to another...after all, the loss of personal space can certainly set actions (and more) in motion.

This hadn't been what Tommy'd meant when he'd opened his mouth. The point had been to taunt Noctis over how reliably Tommy was kicking his ass at multiplayer in the game. Helped that, you know, Tommy had supernatural reflexes and could perceive time in a slower frame of reference. Meant he was one of the best twitchy gamers you ever had. A small second he could see everything on the screen with no issues. There was never a chance that Noctis was going to win.

No way you're going to win unless you're really distracting me, Tommy had laughed as he won yet another round. So long as I can see the screen, you are my bitch.

It hadn't specifically been meant as a challenge. Okay, who was he kidding, Tommy was absolutely attempting to provoke Noctis to try, and fail, to gain the upper hand.

Definitely hadn't expected the Prince to try and block his view by being in his lap. Hadn't expected just how distracting that could be. Bad enough that, to properly hold the controller, he had to have his arms around Noctis's waist, effectively holding the Prince against him until the round was over. Didn't help that he was a comfortable weight in his lap. Sure as hell didn't help that the whole situation was a bit...

In the most inconvenient ways. But no, so long as he could lean to the side, just see a bit past Noctis, he was going to win this. He may have offered the challenge, but somehow he didn't think the Prince could do it. No way Noctis could distract him from the game.
