[Here's the thing: when you kill a vampire once, you kind of get a reputation for it. Like, hey, that Polnareff dude, he's really good at this! Wow! Maybe we should hire him! He seems useful! It's not like he sought out to be a vampire hunter for the British government (and, like, blech), but here he is.

He's worked with the Hellsing family a few times before, but tonight's the first night he's met their star player. Alucard, and he's impulsive, not stupid. He can make a few pointed guesses as to where this man came from. And what's the sense, he argues to Integra (who listens, at least, even if she makes no secret of the fact she thinks his words pointless), what's the sense in having a vampire kill other vampires, it's a stupid idea, he'll turn on them eventually, they always do, they're in it for themselves and no other--

But what does he know.

They're ostensibly on the same side, though, and so he grits his teeth and they get the job done. It's not hard. Violent, oh, yes, very much so. The vampire in question was no cakewalk, and they both of them are bloody by the end of it, little cuts and big ones, blood (his own and otherwise) dripping down fair skin and soaking into clothes. But what the man had in strength, he lacked in finesse, and so they'd gotten him in the end.

Here's a secret: he likes the blood right now. He won't in an hour or so, when the adrenaline fades and he's left ordinary, but right now? It feels right. Like war paint; like the sign of a job well done. That's another fucker put to the ground, him and all his ghoulish counterparts, and he takes pride in that.

But there's still one vampire standing.

He turns towards Alucard, and there's something mean in his posture. Not a threat, no, but tension is tight in his muscles, his blood pumping as he stares pointedly over at the vampire.]

Better get back. You wouldn't want someone to mistake you for just any vampire, huh?

[He wants to put him down, is the thing. Not just out of some sense of pride, but because he genuinely thinks him a threat. He's more dangerous than any of the villains he puts down week after week, because Alucard is smart. He's old and he's clever and he's deadly, and there's no reason he needs to stay alive and endanger others.]

Asuna skidded to a stop as she was pushed back. She hadn’t expected Peri to be so strong and so vicious! It was frightening and exciting at the same time.

“Who are you? You must be amazing to be so strong!” She asked.

"I'm Peri, and I have to be strong to be Lord Xander's retainer!" Of course, it wasn't what made her strong - he recruited her expressly for her prowess at murdering fools. "And now I just have to chop you up!"

“We don’t have to fight you know...” Asuna took a deep breath as she did. “But, I won’t back down!”

She raised her rapier up, ready to fight.

"I don't want to stop! Now that I've started, I'm not gonna be able to settle down until I see some blood!" Peri shifted her stance, gave her sword a little twirl, and darted in. She was at her best on horseback, but she could handle most opponents one-on-one like this, she figured.

With a battlecry, Asuna charged in, her first strike intending on parrying what Peri might strike out with.

Peri was fairly straightforward in her aggression, acting on instinct - instead of pulling back or turning her strike into a feint, she pushed into the parry, hoping to unbalance Asuna by pushing forcefully back against her.

Asuna grunted, stumbling slightly at the push, but trying to find her footing. It would be a mistake.

Peri was simply too relentless to give an opening too; she'd attack and attack until she found one or made one. This little stumble, for example, gave her a great chance to raise her sword and put a ton of force into a swing right on top of Asuna's shoulder.

Asuna regained her footing just in time to see the blade come down. She would move out of the way just barely, cutting her back and sending some hair and cloth flying in the strike.

With momentum behind her, Peri giggled, moved with her momentum, and twisted, slashing up and across Asuna's mid-section - she'd gut the girl if she got a solid hit.

Asuna would not give Peri the chance. The strike to her midsection would connect, cutting more of her body as her belt and sheath clattered to the ground.

“THAT’S... ENOUGH!” She yelled, intending on stabbing Peri through the midsection.

All that not-flesh stuff getting in the way! Peri just had to keep smashing it, and soon Asuna would just be a bloody mess to laugh at...

As long as Peri could stay out of trouble. Fortunately, her own armor was just sturdy enough that, with a little twist, it was merely bent in against her side instead of splitting and letting Asuna's blade through. The dent was smashed in far enough to hurt, leaving her a bit unsteady as she flailed at Asuna's neck. "Just die already!"

With Peri unstable and flailing, Asuna could easily parry the blows.

“Grow up!” She countered. “You want to be a retainer and you’re throwing a tantrum!” Her next Strike would be Peri’s Right arm.

"I'm... killing... my enemy!" Asuna had gotten her emotionally off-balance just long enough though - there was a loud crack as her sword smashed into Peri's arm, a flash of red, followed by a pained yelp as her elbow lolled weakly at her side.

She'd broken Peri's arm and cut the tendon all in one blow, leaving her wide-eyed as her sword clattered to the ground. "I... you... y-you..."

She struck a vital area. Her comment and her attack threw her off balance and probably left her helpless. Good, because Asuna was hurting, blood staining her white outfit where Peri struck her.

“You’re strong... but you need more discipline...” she said. She didn’t see any need to finish her. Probably a mistake.

Peri hurt. Asuna hurt her. Her arm hurt so much.

So much pain. All this girl's fault. This stupid... stupid...

"DIE!" she shrieked, bending over, scooping her sword up with her off hand, and lashing out, against, for Asuna's midsection. This girl HAD to die!

Asuna gasped as she saw Peri attack. She was struck again, another gash across her midsection, blood flowing freely.

Asuna slashed with her rapier, aiming as Peri’s other shoulder.

Peri saw blood, and the rapier just barely skimmed across her armor - there wasn't much slowing her down now. With a wordless scream, she drove her sword straight up towards Asuna's midsection, aiming to impale her.

Asuna gasped before the blade connected, impaling her against the blade. She coughed up blood, splattering Peri’s face with it.

“Wh... why?”

Finally! She did it! Her blade slid through flesh, and she pushed right against Asuna, gasping for breath. A difficult kill was satisfying, but her poor arm...

Peri just smiled through the blood on her face and her smeared eyeliner. "I just... like it. I like how you bleed."

“How... I bleed...” she gasped out. Asuna was hurting badly. It was getting harder to breathe and that blade.

“Please... don’t...”

"It's pretty. And it's warm. I love blood..." she trailed off, looking deeply into Asuna's eyes - and then she twisted.

Whatever Asuna wanted to say next was cut off by her spitting blood, her eyes widened as the blade twisted inside her. The damage done was getting worse...

More blood! She was dying! Peri giggled, and leaned in when she felt that blood splatter on her, and mashed her lips against Asuna. It just... felt right! Even as she jerked the sword up through Asuna!

In the haze of the pain and fading life, Asuna was shocked to find Peri kissing her in all of this! She could feel the sword moving upward in her. Adding insult to injury.

At least Peri was having fun - that's all that really mattered. Asuna was really holding on nicely, though, so Peri left the sword inside of Asuna, reached up and - with the clawed tips of her left gauntlet - speared her hand into Asuna's throat.

Asuna prided herself as a speed fighter. Sadly, the one time she was slow, it cost her. The gauntlet to her neck was the decisive blow, blood flowing as Asuna gagged on it, suffocating as she did...

It only took a moment. Peri was aware of that... she could die any time.

But this was how her life was. How it had to be. And thus, she left even more holes in Asuna, letting her drown in her own blood. "You look so scared..."

She was scared. Scared of how everyone would react. How Kirito would. How Yui...

The holes in her would do the job, drowning her in her own blood...

Peri just watched. Watched every bit of life drain from Asuna, watched the light fade from her eyes. It was so... intimate... at least in her mind.
