[ That didn't go quite as planned. He didn't mean to squish the poor guy under all of his weight. It just sort of happened... oops. Riku was panting softly, trying to catch his breath when he looked down and realized just the position that they were in and quickly scrambled to get off him. ]

S-sorry I didn't mean--!

[ the weight eases when Riku pushes himself up, and Vanitas sighs long and deep to fill his own lungs back up. the thing is— the solid crush of his body, it isn't frightening. in the seconds before Riku startles away and clumsily climbs off him, Vanitas can actually appreciate what he'd said before: it could be kind of enjoyable. being hugged. being wrapped up in someone else's warmth.

the contrast, the sudden release of pressure and lack of warmth, slams Vanitas back into his body and into his head. the embarrassment is much too easy to redirect into irritation. Vanitas pulls both elbows underneath his chest, expels an annoyed breath and glares up at Riku from his place on the cushions. some of the effect is ruined by how red-faced he is, though. ]

You're gonna pay for that.

[ He was leaning against the furthest part of the couch, looking a tad bit flustered himself. He had meant to tease Vanitas a little, but he didn't think he'd end up pinning him down like that. It was a tad bit embarrassing for both of them he assumes.

It was when Vanitas spoke up that he was pulled out of his thoughts. "You're gonna pay for that" in a normal situation that might be seen as a little threatening, but he noticed how red Vanitas' cheeks were. (cute...) It was a little more difficult to take him seriously like that. ]
