Ah, rain—the precipitation that the whole world has a love/hate affair with. It waters the garden for free and ruins baseball games. It cools you off in the summer and it causes more ice and sleet to appear in the winter. Sometimes it is lovely and falls at a decent pace for a few hours, other times, it blasts the whole eastern seaboard away.
Poems and songs have been written about it, people have danced in it, others have cursed its entire existence, and still more refuse to go out and drive in it.
Now it’s time to roll some dice and see what the weather will have in store for you today.

1. DRIZZLE ☂ It’s not too heavy or too light of a downpour, just enough to wash away stuff in the air, water the ground, and clean up the streets.
2. MONSOON ☂ It’s horrible and awful! Rain is coming down in buckets, no one can get anywhere, the wind is whipping everything about, and now the cable is out.
3. SHOWER ☂ Reminds you of early spring, doesn’t it? A nice shower to make everything all green and smell fresh again. Lovely.
4. FLOOD ☂ While rain is good, it can sometimes be bad. Grab a boat!
5. CATS & DOGS ☂ You’re lucky with this one. It’s not the worst storm in the world, but it’s still pretty heavy. Be careful when driving!

7. THUNDER & LIGHTNING ☂ Loud, surprising, scary, ominous, comforting, fantastic to watch or listen to… some like thunder and lightning, others not so much. Of course, if this happens before a big confrontation, the universe is telling you something.

Thankfully, he's no stranger to improvising, and definitely no stranger to cobbling shit together like MacGyver on his best days, which is how he ends up with a raft, pushing through the area. He pauses when he hears someone shout, and after a brief hesitation, he paddles his raft a little closer. ]

[The response is given deadpan. What else could she be doing up there? She's trying not to get swept down into the murky floodwaters and hoping against hope for rescue. She scooches down toward the edge of the roof, stands and steadies herself on the incline, then extends her hand, assuming the man might want to dock (such as he was able).]
I haven't seen anyone in two days. I was really starting to worry.
[This is an exaggeration. She's actually been worried for the full two days that everyone was dead and she'd have to rebuild the world like that terrible Kevin Costner movie where he drank his own pee. Thankfully, she'd been on her way home from the grocery store when the flood hit, so she's managed to keep a little bit of food dry-ish and she has a six pack of bottled water she's been carefully rationing (because the whole question of filtering urine was, at the moment, still a greater concern than being the only person left alive). So though she sounds bitchy, she's actually grateful beyond measure to be talking to another human being.]

[Veronica was just damp, tired, and craving real food, not to mention a little worried everyone had perished in the flood. But seeing another person cheered her immensely.]

[While she asked, she rooted through her bag to yield up a full bottle of water and a dry packet of fudge stripe cookies, offering them to the man. Maybe not the most nutritionally adequate item, but they were tasty and kind of comforting.]
