[ Ever since Mantis figured out that she might like to give this 'courting' concept a try - and declared to Thor that she was interested in him for the required other half - she's diligent in her communications when they're apart.
Two-day intervals, like clockwork, she checks in via video transmission at the same time, regardless of her environment or her company.
Or her company's effects on the environment. Most recently, Groot's discovered photobombing.
The escalation so far has increased with previously unheard-of speed. ]
Rocket says we'll return to the ship soon. I'm glad, since I've missed spending time with you. It's also not as comfortable to sleep on the escape pod floor as it is to be next to you. [ She'd say 'to sleep next to you,' but she honestly doesn't sleep all that much as she.

Oh, we were able to solve this planet's distress call. Except that it turns out that it wasn't actually a distress call! The inhabitants just used it to lure in unsuspecting space travellers to sacrifice to their god. He turned out to be a giant monster in a pit, anyway. Isn't it wonderful that nobody was in trouble?
Except for the hungry monster, I suppose. [ Which makes him the real victim? ] Anyway, he's dead now.
[ No hunger anymore, so he got better. ]
Also. I found a sword, and I learned to dance!

Well, besides the part where Frederick of all people twisted his ankle. Take the guy off a horse for one second...
Anyway, how are you? Not gonna lie, it's been taking some getting used to for me, not having a phone to talk to people.
That'd make keeping in touch with you a lot quicker. Not that this is hard. I don't even do this much paperwork for work.
But...knowing you're going to get it makes it worth it. Guess it's kind of like my old job still, just that I can't give
this to you in person.
I'll just have to make up for that when I see you next. Apparently there's some sort of summer festival that Anna
keeps talking about. Maybe we could check that out if we ask. Though if it's anything like that time we saw
Xander or Lucina with giant carrots and magic eggs... Actually? Not that weird in hindsight. I better wrap this up.
