Everything was wrong. No, everything was different, Raven had to force herself to admit, and that didn't necessarily mean wrong. She was still not used to being in her natural form for so long without anyone - her brother, specifically - taking her to task for being both naked and being in a form that might lead to someone finding out about her. Not them, never them. He could keep his secret whenever he wanted to and he had long since learned not to just spit people's thoughts back at them. He could hide without changing much about himself. She couldn't.

And that was why she was here with Erik. Because she had changed herself for almost as long as she could remember and she was sick of trying to be someone she wasn't. She was sick of having to change herself because that was what Charles wanted. She was sick of being with a person who didn't want her for herself. Who didn't even want her at all.

She knew why she hadn't gone to see Erik, not at night, not in his room. Emma. As much newfound confidence as she had gained thanks to Erik - to Magneto - there were still some things that were ingrained and she knew that Emma was bound to have the boys and the men that Raven herself could not. After all, Erik had already called her a child and had probably only kissed her to show her that he preferred her natural form to any other.

These were her late night thoughts as she sat in the kitchen and stared at her undrunk cup of tea. Not wrong, she told herself again, just different.

[Cass had known he was attracted to her way before Tim himself did. Whih was already impressive since him never let anything go unnoticed... apparently his feelings hadn't gotten that memo.

She'd been cool about it actually, like she was cool about almost everything. Gave him time, let him come to that conclusion on his own terms and then... well, get the courage to do something about it. Even though he knew she had to know.

And finally, they had gotten here. Their first kiss which was... maybe a little clumsier on his end that Tim would have liked but he doubted she'd notice.

Hoped, anyway.]

[She doesn't have a lot of experience with kissing, not really. What Tim thinks is clumsy, Cass thinks is perfect, because it's Tim.

And she had known before him, she saw it in the way he stood closer to her while Batman was speaking to them, in the way he looked at her when he thought she couldn't see it. It had been hard not to just kiss him on the spot when she noticed, but she didn't want to be too forward, move too fast and push too hard, like she did with Kon, with Zero. Tim is special, he deserves slow.

When they break apart after their first kiss, Cass is nothing but pleased, one hand lifting up to touch his cheek as she smiles sweetly at him.]

Took you... long enough.

[The smile is enough to reassure him, to remind him why he's doing this to begin with. He reaches for her hand to squeeze it gently, still focusing on body language to make things easier for her.

Or for him, he isn't sure.]

I'm slow on the uptake when it comes to emotion. Thank you for waiting, I suppose.

Good at waiting. Lots of people... know things with their body, their heart, but not their brain. Takes time, sometimes. Have to let them... figure it out.

[She shifts a little bit closer and reaches up to touch his cheek softly, just an excuse to touch him.]

[He smiles, leaning into the touch. For all the relationships he's had... every one always feels like the first one.]

Bruce might not be okay with it. Dick... Dick will probably far too okay with it. You know that, right?

I know. Don't care. Can do... what I want.

[She's tired of Bruce being so controlling and Barbara has been telling her for months now, live for yourself. This seems like a good way to start. She pulls him in again with her hand on his cheek and kisses him again, parting her lips against his this time.]
