t h e TRAPPED TOGETHER m e m e(expanded edition; originally from memebells @ lj)

Ever wanted to tag a character yours has no good reason to know? Ever wanted your character to be forced to interact with someone they're supposed to hate? Now's your chance!

You character has been trapped somewhere-- and they're not alone. Pick the scenario(s) and genre(s) you're open to, and post with your choices and character's information in the subject line. Use the random number generator or your own discretion to reply to others' posts.

SCENARIOS:

1. TRAPPED IN AN ELEVATOR The old standby. You're stuck until someone can rescue you, or until one or both of you can get this box moving again.

2. TRAPPED IN AN UNDERGROUND BUNKER Maybe there's a nuclear winter, or maybe you were just exploring and wandered in here. Either way? Right now, you're stuck.

3. TRAPPED IN A CAR You were driving long-distance when your ride broke down, so now you're stuck in the middle of nowhere until else someone happens by.

4. TRAPPED IN A MALL AFTER HOURS Somehow, you managed to get stuck in the mall after closing. Maybe you fell asleep in the bathroom, or were hiding in the back of the bookstore, but now the doors are locked, and you've got the whole place almost to yourself.

5. TRAPPED IN A MAZE Entering that maze seemed like such a good idea, didn't it? Only now you can't find your way out, and you're pretty sure you're not alone in here...

6. TRAPPED ON AN ISLAND You should have known better than to trust any three hour cruise or any last minute flight over the ocean. In the chaos you've gotten stuck on a different island from the rest of the survivors (there are others, right?), but you'll probably still be close enough for rescuers to find you if you build a big enough fire. At least you have the island to yourselves... don't you?

7. TRAPPED IN THE WILDERNESS It was a great idea to go trekking out into the wilderness until you got separated from the group you were on, or you lost your map in a mad escape from something... unfortunate. If you're lucky there's a cabin to stay in. If you're less lucky, one of you brought a tent. If not... then you better get trekking home in a hurry. There're animals out there, you know.

We never did find out what she was up to, though.

If I had to guess, it was one of her surprise parties. Unfortunately she is not very good at hiding them.

Not when she's about as subtle as Wally when it comes to those things.

Though I won't be the one to tell her we figured out the surprise.

Neither will I. That look she would get on her face.... would not be worth it.

Tell me about it. It's impossible to deal with a pouting M'gann. Believe me, I've tried.

I learned on the first day of meeting her.

So, in other words, she's always like this. It's not just me.

[She says this with a smile, of course. Zee adores her brosis.]

[ he chuckles a little. ]

It's part of her charm I suppose.

[Zatanna also laughs. Until a sharp pain cuts the jovial mood short.]

Ow!

[ he frowns and pulls her closer to him. ]

Zatanna... are you alright?

[She doesn't protest this time]

Kinda...dizzy...

Must've hit it harder than I thought.

[ He frowns and with a hand he massages her shoulder to try and get her mind off of it. ]

[It has the opposite effect; she tenses up, confused.]

Kaldur? What're you--?

It is a maneuver to calm you down and keep your mind elsewhere...

[ he takes his hand away. ]

It seems to have backfired though.

N-no! I was just surprised, is all.

[She makes a point of turning her back to him once more. Feeling bad for accidently rejecting his kind gesture.]

You can keep going.

... Are you certain?

Yeah, I'm sure.

[ He silently reaches for her shoulder again, seeming hesitant at first before he slowly massages her shoulder. ]

[It still feels a little weird at first. She and Kaldur were not as close as she was with Robin or Artemis...but, after a few seconds pass, she grows more comfortable with his gentle massage. His hands were on the cooler side, which actually helped a little with the pain.]

Where'd you learn to do this?

It was something my Queen taught me. She said it was a great relaxant that causes your mind to drift off into a better mindset.

You and your Queen must be very close.

She is perhaps like a second mother... if I might be so bold to say.

[She thought it was pretty sweet, actually.]

How long have you known her? Or seen her in this way, I guess I should say. [Since obviously he would know his Queen all his life.]

Ah... perhaps since I became her student.
