t h e TRAPPED TOGETHER m e m e(expanded edition; originally from memebells @ lj)

Ever wanted to tag a character yours has no good reason to know? Ever wanted your character to be forced to interact with someone they're supposed to hate? Now's your chance!

You character has been trapped somewhere-- and they're not alone. Pick the scenario(s) and genre(s) you're open to, and post with your choices and character's information in the subject line. Use the random number generator or your own discretion to reply to others' posts.

SCENARIOS:

1. TRAPPED IN AN ELEVATOR The old standby. You're stuck until someone can rescue you, or until one or both of you can get this box moving again.

2. TRAPPED IN AN UNDERGROUND BUNKER Maybe there's a nuclear winter, or maybe you were just exploring and wandered in here. Either way? Right now, you're stuck.

3. TRAPPED IN A CAR You were driving long-distance when your ride broke down, so now you're stuck in the middle of nowhere until else someone happens by.

4. TRAPPED IN A MALL AFTER HOURS Somehow, you managed to get stuck in the mall after closing. Maybe you fell asleep in the bathroom, or were hiding in the back of the bookstore, but now the doors are locked, and you've got the whole place almost to yourself.

5. TRAPPED IN A MAZE Entering that maze seemed like such a good idea, didn't it? Only now you can't find your way out, and you're pretty sure you're not alone in here...

6. TRAPPED ON AN ISLAND You should have known better than to trust any three hour cruise or any last minute flight over the ocean. In the chaos you've gotten stuck on a different island from the rest of the survivors (there are others, right?), but you'll probably still be close enough for rescuers to find you if you build a big enough fire. At least you have the island to yourselves... don't you?

7. TRAPPED IN THE WILDERNESS It was a great idea to go trekking out into the wilderness until you got separated from the group you were on, or you lost your map in a mad escape from something... unfortunate. If you're lucky there's a cabin to stay in. If you're less lucky, one of you brought a tent. If not... then you better get trekking home in a hurry. There're animals out there, you know.

[ All the lights went out and there was no one in sight. It seems like the guards were feeling a bit lazy today not checking everywhere for extra people.

She looked around curiously. ]

H-Hello?

[Wally knows he should probably just find a security guard to let him out, but then again the cart that sells fried cheese on a stick is right there.

He's still contemplating what to do when he hears what sounds like someone talking. Hm. At least he's not alone. He'll just walk in the direction of that voice.]

Someone there?

Hello?

[ She starts timidly walking around. Why didn't she hear them closing? This was the first time she was locked somewhere and it scared her. ]

[Hmm. Wally doesn't see anyone, but he's pretty sure he heard something. So he'll try yelling:]

ANYBODY HERE?

Y-Yes? Hello I can hear you!

[ She looks around worriedly. ]

[Hey that sounded kind of close. See, Wally knew everything could be solved by being loud.]

You don't have a pair of keys do you!

...Whoever you are!

[A pause.]

And where ever you are!

[Roy and Wally thought it'd be a great idea to go to the mall when it was approaching its closing hours. Okay, actually, that was Wally's idea. Anyway, they were warned several times about it closing for the day, but thought nothing of it.

Just as they were about to leave like they should have an hour ago, the lights suddenly shut off and the doors locked up. Oh snap.]

...did the mall always shut down before letting all the customers leave or is this a new thing?

[Angroy will be showing up in 3...2...1......]

[Wally thought they wouldn't have to deal with crowds that way, alright? Jeez.]

I dunno...

[Glancing around now.] Dude, I don't even see any security guards around.

[Maybe there was an evacuation and they missed it. What if some beam or something passed over the Earth and disintegrated everyone who wasn't a ginger?

Or what if Roy and Wally just really need to get their hearing checked. There were plenty of warnings, get it together guys.

Wally will casually walk over to Jamba Juice and try opening the door. It won't budge, well they're just doomed.]

[Okay, fair enough.]

[He tries to open the door once more. Nope. The door's still not budging.]

So we're the only ones trapped in here? Perfect.

[Wow. Having an unannounced evacuation? That's perfect. What if there's poison gas in here and they're just breathing it in? Yeah, wow, mall cops. You certainly fell short by not making sure everyone was out. Gosh. You should all be fired.

Well, either that or Roy and Wally need to pay better attention to announcements, but still. Slacking ass mall cops not doing their job properly :|

Jeez. What the hell are they supposed to do in the meantime?]

[Wally will press his face against the glass window of the exit and look out. Nothing and no one out there either. Welp. There is a nice smudge where his face was though. He'll try to wipe that away with his sleeve, oops.]

You could be trapped with someone way less awesome than I am, look on the bright side.

[Nah, they'd be dead by now if there was poison gas. Probably. They'd know for sure by morning at least, um.

What are they supposed to do? How should Wally know? Well, maybe he has one idea.]

Hey, I'll race you to the furniture store.

[While Wally was mushing his face against the window, he found himself a seat on the bench, trying to fiddle with his already dead phone. Yeah, of course the phone would die at a time like this.]

I guess.

[At least they would have died in good company? Uh.

Wait, what'd you say, Wally?]

Seriously?

[Way to charge your phone, Roy. Wally didn't even bring his, but still. Way to go, Roy.

Wally makes his way over to sit on the other side of the bench.]

Would you rather walk there in calmly manner?

[He was only kidding about racing anyway, racing against Wally isn't fair unless you're Barry. ~~Or even Bart, sobs.~~]

[At least he brought his! Gosh, didn't your parents tell you to never leave the house without your phone, Wally?

Anyway, he shrugs.]

I'd actually rather be out of here instead of racing to a furniture store against a speedster...

[YOU'D NEED A HANDICAP TO RACE BART okay, sorry.]

At least walking there sounds more fair.
