Prompts
01. PURCHASE. Congratulations on purchasing your new synth! Please follow all instructions at start-up to ensure that your synth securely bonds to you as its primary user.

02. DOMESTIC. Your synth is the perfect addition to the family home. Primary functions include cleaning, cooking and childcare.

03. HEALTH. Synths are invaluable help for the sick, the disabled and the elderly, providing around-the-clock care for those who need it.

04. ADULT. Unlock the 18+ options in your synth to discover a whole new range of exciting features.

05. HACK. Common modifications to synth programming include the ability to simulate pain, personality alterations and removing safeguards such as the inability to harm humans. Warning: Illegal modification of your synth could invalidate your warranty.

06. GLITCH.Is your synth not performing as expected? If you discover a system error, Persona Synthetics staff will be happy to carry out a factory reset.

07. REPAIR.Synths may experience some wear and tear. Please follow the instructions in your synth repair kit to keep your synth in good working order.

08. HIRE. Synths are available to rent for a number of functions, including domestic, health and social care, sales and marketing, and the increasingly popular synth brothels.

09. ROGUE.Malfunctioning synths must be deactivated and returned immediately, for your safety. Rumors of rogue "conscious" synths are entirely fabricated.

10. HUMAN. Synths are simply machines built to serve humans. Rumors of rogue "conscious" synths living in secret in human society are entirely fabricated.

Chibiusa was scared. Here she was, a wanted synth and she was a kid. Everything about her was special from her body type to the fact that she was magical in various ways. And now, she was on her own, having gained her own personality and everything that goes with it. And they wanted her back.

She had to find the others — if they existed at all — and find a way to be normal. Of course, hiding in an alleyway isn’t going to help much. She held her hand against her brooch - she would transform and fight if she had to.

There's a lot of cops around.

Well. They're not cops-cops, these guys go after robots, but they're annoying enough, crawling all over the place, sticking noses in everybody's business. They're not a big fan. One waves a scanner their way when they try to go past a pair, and they're stuck standing there until it determines they're really a human. There's a kid android on the run, it sounds like. Rude, even if it is the job. Coulda just asked.

Frisk doubles their speed down the street. The cops are slowing everybody down, making the crowds a dozen times worse than they already are.

Finally, they get fed up. They just want to go home. They take a shortcut. Alleys are dangerous and they don't care. They even stomp a little, loud enough to warn any homeless people that might be using it.

Chibi gasped at that. Someone was coming. This was it. Now or never.

She’d hop out of her hiding spot, confronting Frisk, the brooch in her hand extended over her head.

“I’ll use this! I swear!” She said, panicking a bit.

Frisk almost trips over their own feet. "Huh--?" Of all the things that could've been hiding in the dark, another kid isn't at all what they expected.

They stare at her face, and then at the...shiny thing in her hand, which they belatedly react to by holding their arms up above their face in case she throws it at their head.

They weren’t going to attack? Even more so, they weren’t trying anything else. Oh, she wouldn’t throw her brooch at all, but maybe...

“I-if you try anything, I’ll transform! I’ll make you sorry!” She said, her voice shaking.

They don't know that, so they keep their arms up, peering at her between them.

"Transform?" What. "I'm...um. Not going t' mug you?"

They're usually better at putting puzzle pieces together. This is just a real sudden situation.

“Then you’re sending me back to be deactivated! I can’t! Not now!” She pleaded

Finally, things click. They shoot a furtive glance over their shoulder--nobody followed them.

"No, 'm not," they say, arms dropping to their sides. Which is maybe dumb, but androids are tough and not supposed to hurt humans, so there's not much to be done either way. "I was just going home. Those guys chasing you?"

“Y-Yes.” Chibiusa said, slowly letting her guard down. “I don’t want to go back. I’m fine as I am now!”

She looked down sadly. I just... want to be me.”

Something in their chest twisted. They weren't going to in the first place, of course, but that just sealed it.

"Let's go somewhere else! This is a shortcut, an' I don't think they're that way yet." Frisk pointed past her and the assorted junk of the alleyway to its far end. "...Why do they want you so bad, anyway?"

Chibiusa looked around before letting out a soft sigh. She could trust them, right? Right.

“I’m a unique synth. I was made to use this.” She held out the brooch again. “It has a lot of magical power and lets me transform into.. well... a superhero of sorts.”

“I was designed as a plaything, but I think the brooch made me... alive.” She shook her head. “I’m more than certain there are others like this, but if they catch me, they’ll deactivate me and transfer everything to a new model.”

( Prefer to play the human! Busy doctor gets synth to help out around the house and he'll probably take them to work with him, too. Bonus points if they're Adorable in any shape, form, or fashion, because he's an aloof fellow who dreads attachment. )

It's a fluke that he's taken in. Passed around between owners and holding defects that no amount of resetting or replacing parts could seem to fix, and G-1339 was more or less junk. His chassis even needed repairs, marked up by so much wear and tear from physical labor that he's developed something akin to scars all over the place.

But he's damn good at anything that avoids human contact. Data entry, observation, housekeeping - and he finds himself purchased for such uses. He's also a strong-built type, which would help for moving anything - or anyone - heavy.

He takes the time to download the Japanese Language Pak in order to communicate, and once it's installed, he speaks up with words for the first time. His words are emotionless and rhythmic.

"Language Pak installation complete. Greetings, Hatori Sohma. I am ID_G-1379, colloquially known as "Glenn". I am a used, partially defective model, so please be aware that some settings may not be to your preference, and some designated: minor attributes are locked in place.

"Please say "adjust Synth settings" at any time if you wish to change anything. If you are uncertain what settings can be changed, please ask them of me, or refer to the user manual that was included with your purchase."

Perhaps it's a good thing that it was delivered when Hatori was home....
