'Cause sometimes you just can’t save yourself.

1. BAD DATE - You get a text, a phone call, or maybe you can just see the other person floundering on what clearly must be the worst date of their life. Time to step in and save the day.

2. PRISON - Maybe they've been wrongly convicted, or maybe you're an accomplice. Either way, it's jailbreak time. Maybe the guards will fall for the old 'wounded prisoner' technique.

3. TAKEN HOSTAGE - They're being held at gunpoint, either for money or for fun. Maybe you can talk down their captors — or maybe you are a captor, secretly working to help them.

4. UNWELL - Your body is damaged, your suffering taken its toll. You can't save yourself anymore. You're wounded, you're starving, maybe even dying. Someone, help!

5. YOURSELF - One bad choice after another, your self-destructive tendencies are going to get the best of you unless someone steps in to save the day.

6. BIG DAMN RESCUE - You're hovering over an active volcano, a pit of sharks, about to fall off a cliff. Whatever it is, you've only got precious seconds of life left.

7. LONELINESS - You've been secluded, locked away, and the emptiness is overwhelming. You need company, or you might just drown.

8. UNWANTED SOCIAL FUNCTION - A family reunion, your three o'clock board meeting, whatever it is, you desperately don't want to go. Hopefully your good buddy can come up with a distraction.

9. BAD ROMANCE - You're trapped in a relationship that's headed south. Maybe it's an arranged marriage, or maybe it's just someone who won't take no for an answer. You need a helping hand, maybe even a Prince(ss) Charming.

10. WILDCARD - Any kind of rescue will do! Spread your creative wings and go for it.

[Ivar could definitely use a helping hand. Despite not being able to walk, he's survived on his own a long time now since the world went to shit. Unfortunately, he's facing down what only now he realizes is the beginning of an entire herd of zombies. He's got an axe and a gun with limited bullets. When those run out, he's finished.

Still, the teenager doesn't seem afraid, instead laughing madly as he takes down the dead one by one. There's something rather unhinged about him, a madness inside that's always been present.]

[ The dead are relentless. They don't know fear, they don't listen to logic. Instead, they're driven only by hunger. That and their numbers are the reason they're so dangerous.

Luckily for Ivar, Maggie heard the commotion. As yet another Walker reaches out for a bite, a bullet causes his head to explode. Another shoot removes its friend to the right. Instead of a bullet, it's a blade that kills a third. There's still far too many for even two people. ]

Come on, Kid. We can't stay here.

[ Maggies appears to his side, her hand going for his arm. ] If we stay, we're goin' to end up dead.

(ooc | Sorry for the delay. How does Ivar normally travel? Does he have a wheelchair? )

[OOC: He does! And has a pair of leg braces he usually occasionally. Sorry, I sometimes forget to mention that in threads.]

[Ivar is surprised when the three Walkers go down in a matter of seconds. He sees his rescuer coming towards him, but he doesn't look grateful. Ivar's fierce eyes turn on her and at first he considers her just as much of an enemy as the living dead, noted by the way his hand tightens around his axe.

He eyes her up and down before he decides she's a better choice then facing the herd. He slides the axe into a custom-made holder that he has strapped to his back. It's easier to reach it that way then if he had it at his waist.]

Fine. This party's just about over.

[There's an accent to his voice, a light Northern European one that speaks of not being born in the U.S.]

[ Her own accent is obviously, thickly Southern. Amazing how one apocalypse can bring people together. ]

Go on, get movin'. I'll keep up the cover fire.

[ Maggie maneuvers until she's in front of him, her gun taking down another zombie. She won't be able to shoot many more without reloading. ]

Watch the front. Take down what you can with the axe.

[ Another shots, another walker dead. ]

[Ivar gives a firm nod. Considering how hard it is to survive in this world, it's clear he knows how to follow someone's lead. There's something about this strange woman that reminds him of those in his own family: fierce-spirited ones who took no shit and could survive just about anything thrown at them.

He starts to get going, pulling the axe back out, and burying it into the skull of a walker hard enough to send it to the ground, the brain destroyed. It's slow going, but eventually he'll start getting further away from the herd.]
