A Picture is Worth.... Meme
This ain't your mama's meme. Forget your RNG, forget your tired old prompts.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
It's easy. Comment with your character. Then go comment around.
But instead of pre-filled prompts with words or numbers, you find a gif or image (any gif/image from any canon or scenario you please) that sets the scene.

The picture is the prompt.

WARNING: THIS POST WILL BE IMAGE HEAVY. AND POSSIBLY NSFW AND THERE MAY BE TRIGGERS.
Some images will not be able to be hidden behind cuts, so please be aware that triggery material may be found within.

If you post an image that is violent or sexual in nature please LINK it, do not embed it into the comment.

Feel free to use this template to stick your image in there.

Good resources for images/gifs are weheartit or tumblr. For not so safe for work gifs/images go here and here.

( unlike q, eve rather likes the aspect of the job that means travelling, different countries and cities — and if they blend together a little after a while when it's all terrorists and car chases, then she knows that it's time to take a step back and remind herself that that's not all there is to these places. generally speaking, though, she loves it.

watching q do his job is rather less exciting than watching bond do his, than being active herself. excitement isn't all there is to it, though, and eve would much rather sit quietly with a gun loosely held in one hand and listen for suspicious noises if it means mission accomplished without any casualties, than she would have car chases and explosions and adrenaline if it means civilian casualties, if it means agents down. she isn't a field agent anymore, but she doesn't think that's what's curbed her love for the more exciting aspects of this work in any way. it's just — too many have died in the past few months.

when q announces that she's done, eve smiles, distracted from less-than-pleasant thoughts that she hadn't meant to dwell on in the first place.
) Let's get you out of here and fed. ( because really, he's been at it for hours and she's been watching him type for hours. he must be hungry. god knows eve is starving. )

We might not give double-oh seven a run for his money just yet, but we could keep him waiting a little longer.

[q snorts lightly at the idea of bond wasting time at the hotel waiting for them--his first stop might be a change of clothes but he can already picture the man beelining for the bar. one of those god-awful martinis and an unhappily married woman at his arm won't be too far off after.

truthfully his plans for the evening only included further study of the files he managed to obtain and an actual eight hours of sleep on the luxurious bed (why waste it, really), but he could fit dinner in. he doesn't know eve terribly well beyond what he's surmised from her file and the few brief interactions they've had. but honestly, anyone who can keep up with 007 (or slow him down for that matter) is worth keeping company with. he allows a small, accepting smile and inclines his head.]

I could sacrifice an evening without that instant-cooked shit and cold tea.

[he's not exactly one to jump into spontaneous things beyond work or even spend time with colleagues outside of it, but a little change never hurt anyone. again why waste it?--especially when death is something he observes with a cold-eye behind his glasses every day.]

Any preferences?

( q is likely right with that mental image, but it doesn't mean that eve's comment doesn't stand. they each have their own preferences and ways of dealing, of coping with the demands of their work-- when they're not revelling in it. bond's just happen to be women and alcohol. )

I was thinking Japanese. There's a restaurant just a few streets from here. ( they'll have hot tea, though it won't be earl grey, of course. and maybe they don't know each other too well, but eve's been sitting here watching him work. it's enough to forge a certain familiarity-- and it's a chance to get to know him better. working for m isn't all paperwork; it also means getting an understanding of how mi6 works and how the people within it work. what makes mi6 tick?

q is probably a large part of that.
