A Picture is Worth.... Meme
This ain't your mama's meme. Forget your RNG, forget your tired old prompts.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
It's easy. Comment with your character. Then go comment around.
But instead of pre-filled prompts with words or numbers, you find a gif or image (any gif/image from any canon or scenario you please) that sets the scene.

The picture is the prompt.

WARNING: THIS POST WILL BE IMAGE HEAVY. AND POSSIBLY NSFW AND THERE MAY BE TRIGGERS.
Some images will not be able to be hidden behind cuts, so please be aware that triggery material may be found within.

If you post an image that is violent or sexual in nature please LINK it, do not embed it into the comment.

Feel free to use this template to stick your image in there.

Good resources for images/gifs are weheartit or tumblr. For not so safe for work gifs/images go here and here.

[ It wasn't particularly often that he was called back to consult for cases by them anymore. Not after Scotland Yard. Not after everything that happened there. Not after re-establishing himself with the NYPD. But occasionally, still occasionally. And when a consult for something like that came in, well. For a man who looked to escape boredom and was now also escaping what he'd once used to escape the former, it was drop dead stupid to not take an offer like that up.

Two weeks later and the middle of a multi-national, treasonous murder mystery was well in the midst, and he didn't feel as though he'd been so alive in positively ages. It was a good thing Watson hadn't come, because Sherlock had been as manic with the sheer pleasure of having to utilize his cavernous brainpower as one might think, and right now she'd likely be giving him tea or a smoothie and trying to tell him to calm down. He wasn't sure how his current, temporary partner - handler? - was going to take his particular mood at two in the morning, knocking on the door to her hotel room, one over from his own, files in hand and eyes bright with discovery, but to be honest, he wasn't really thinking about it. He was thinking about the case. About what he'd just discovered within it. ]

[ Eve opens the door with a gun in one hand. Her hair's quite a mess, but her silk pyjamas are wrinkle-free and rather fetching, given that they're pyjamas. She hadn't been awake, but Eve's always been a light sleeper and his knocking isn't exactly subtle. ]

Mr Holmes. [ Stepping back to let him inside of her room. She's going to assume he has a good reason to wake her up. If he doesn't, maybe she can make a case for shooting him. ]

[ He is wholly unfazed by the gun, the mess, the pyjamas, or her potential attitude. ]

The fruit! The fruit he'd claimed to have purchased before the event - were it that old, it would be rotten, but look, it's at its ripest. The man is lying. Lying about the fruit! Lying about the crime and murder. He knows something more than he's letting on. [ is it two in the morning? he has no idea. ]

[ she steps back to let him in, though she doesn't set the gun aside. ]

How do you get from the fruit to the murder? [ there's-- timeline things. she'd make the connection faster if she were more awake, but it takes a moment of rubbing her face with her free hand and letting his words run through her head again before she nods. ] Ah.

Avelo's, corner store - the fruit was discount, made for a quick sell, but purchased at a later date than would be normal for such fruit as a result. There happened to be a particularly large boom across the local markets, all of them have been selling them cheaply - I assume they're attempting to prevent having pounds of the stuff begin rotting on their shelves. [ there is a lot of gesturing, specific syllables within words being emphasized at random. ] I'm not sure what arrangement he has with the shopkeeper, but he wasn't there when he originally stated.

[ he pulls a small bit of crumpled paper out of his pocket between forefinger and thumb and waves it a couple of times, then sets it on whatever clear, flat surface is within a step of where he is now. ] Also, receipt from his left jacket pocket. Two days later than the first date given.

tbh that sounds excellent

[ eve is an excellent agent and an even better aide-slash-secretary to mallory because she is, inter alia, patient — at least to some extent, about some things. in this case, it means that she simply waits him out until he's finished, though part of that may also be that she's simply rather tired still. one of the consequences of being woken up only a few hours after one has gone to sleep. ]

So his story doesn't check out at all.

[ lucky lucky you, sherlock is well in the throes of intellectual discovery at the moment and as yet has not quite set his observing excellence on 'human' settings again just yet ]

Not remotely. While there are two other legitimate suspects and I have yet to uncover a convincing motive beyond the obvious fiscal reasoning, I would wager that the bold-faced lie warrants some follow-up.

i wholly agree with that statement

excellent

[ well whoops, he said. (sort of). no need to run it in.

He moves over to sit on the edge of a couch, mentally picturing all the files and information in front of himself and getting into the correct mindset with the ease one might walk into a bit of fog. ]

If, given that the main understood reason for the man's murder was indeed the money, then why would the arguable absence of the random article from the desk? Startlingly similar to a trophy. The previous kill brings the money here, then this man is killed - I admit it appears appropriate, but it could simply be manipulation. Via another person. [ Gesture, gesture. ]

If someone's framing him, with what motive?

What is the reason anyone has for framing anyone else? [ Obviously. ] To be exonerated of the murder themselves. Preemptively pointing blame in another direction.
