A picture is worth a thousand words.
It's easy. Comment with your character. Then go comment around.
But instead of pre-filled prompts with words or numbers, you find a gif or image (any gif/image from any canon or scenario you please) that sets the scene.

Ah, the holidays. TJ was always tepid about the season. Spending time with his family was always a test of endurance. If there was one thing to make a person feel bad, it was being around their successful and judgemental relatives. And, well, Christmas the year before wasn't so great. TJ spent it in the hospital. It was sure to be danced around this year.

And then there was gift-giving. It still surprised TJ when people he didn't know wanted to give him things. Pretty creepy since most of them only remembered him from when he was a kid in the White House. He just sort of glanced at the other guy with a slightly bewildered look then smiled apologetically.

Aaron wasn't the best at giving presents. He never knew what to give people and the whole giving felt strange. But he tried this year to give TJ something nice even though Aaron didn't cared much about Christmas. When he notices the expression on the other man's face his own face drops.

"You hate it don't you?" he says with a sad look on his face. He'd tried his best to cheer TJ up when having to spend Christmas in hospital. Everyone needed t-shirts right? And black was a nice color...

"I just..." Wasn't expecting anything was the honest answer. TJ didn't really do the whole gift-giving thing. It wasn't as if his family needed anything and, hell, the could afford their own gifts. Just showing up for the holidays was all they ever expected of him. There usually weren't that many friends around during the holidays with whom to spend time.

After a moment, he just smiled a little helplessly. TJ was actually quite fond of t-shirts when he didn't have appearances to make. Casual was the way to go. "Thanks."

Aaron waits patiently for TJ's response, feeling more embarrassed by the minute. He knew he was rubbish at this but at least he tried. He knew that TJ probably could get whatever he wanted but it was the thought that counted, right?

"So you do like it then?" Aaron tested. "I know it's not that flashy but..." he continued but interrupted himself with a sigh. "I am rubbish at this present-giving-thing..." he concluded.

"Black's always been my colour," he quipped. Not that he wore it exclusively, but he did find himself choosing dark clothing more often than not. And, frankly, a shirt's practical. It would get regular use until it was worn thin and that would probably take a while.

Aaron gave TJ a small smile and placed the t-shirt nearby. He then leaned back in the chair and contemplated what to say next. "So... when will you get out of here?" he asked after a moment.
