You're safe now, you won't be hurt any more. ⑥accidental kidnapping - okay. so this wasn't... exactly what was planned. But looks like we've got an extra person now. Weiss had gone looking for Ruby when the girl didn't turn up for dinner. Really. As though this were a time for Ruby to be absentminded. Still, something was off. The caped girl was not one to pass up a chance to shove food into her face. Weiss walked around town trying to trace the steps that Ruby might go. She was beginning to regret not being more engaged. She was so caught up in trying not to sort out her feelings about returning to the place she dreaded going the most that even if something had been eating at Ruby she doubted she would have noticed. Something crumpled under her feet and she stopped.

Who threw a perfectly good magazine into an alleyway? She bent over and picked it up brushing off the dirt from the cover. Weird. It looked new. It was a weapons magazine.That was something Ruby would never have dropped in the dirt. And Weiss would have probably chalked it up to coincidence if the next thing she saw didn't make her heart drop to her stomach like a block of ice - there was only one set of headphones that looked like that. They were laying a few feet away with their trademark roses on each ear muff. She ran over and grabbed them, bringing them up to her face and staring hard.

A second later she was tapping away a shared message to Yang and Blake. No way was she heading off without alerting the others that something was up. She had learned from Winter that if you were going to go it alone to make sure some kind of back up was feasible.

I think Ruby's in trouble. I found her stuff in the alleyway. I'm going ahead to look for clues. You guys catch up when you can.

Someone had to have seen what happened. It was just a matter of who and getting them to talk.

Thirty minutes, several questions, a guy severely threatened by a petite girl with a rapier later and Weiss was standing outside of a warehouse outside of town. She was frustrated that the others had not answered, but Argos's communication lines were still on the fritz. It was probably interfering with the signal in some areas. She had heard Terra complaining about it to Saffron while they helped Oscar make dinner.

Perfect. It would be like this at the worst time. Ruby, your explanation for getting yourself into trouble better be good. It's late, I'm hungry and it's cold.

Yes, that's what she'd tell her team leader when she saw her. Because she would be fine. In the middle of something stupid no doubt like in Mountain Glenn, but fine.

She noiselessly moved through the doorway and weaved through several crates. She did find Ruby. But nothing prepared her for the sight. She bit her fist to muffle her gasp. There was not a place where the girl was not bleeding. Even more bizarre, she was watching herself prepare to slash her partner some more.

All the clues had led to this warehouse near the docks. A ring of criminals who transport illegal goods overseas and into the city under the guise of artifacts. They had not been easy to track down. Every time someone got close to them, they would disappear and end up floating face down in the ocean the next day.

Horatio parked the Hummer in an alley, checking his weapon automatically as he got out and started towards the warehouse. Backup was coming but he wasn't about to let them get away. Not this time.

Peter may have not been the smartest, the strongest, or even the best looking after meeting Thor. But there's something that no one can deny. He's pretty damn good at getting himself out of shitty situations. Whether there's a bounty on his head or he grabbed someone else's prize, Peter has a way of getting out of there in one piece. He's an expert escape artist.

Or, he was.

It's not the first time he's been blind sided. Oh that's happened way more than Peter would care to admit. But it's the first time he's been blind sided and knocked out. He couldn't see who it was or even cry out. He went out cold from... something. Didn't feel like he got hit in the back of the head or anything like that. There was definitely something more intricate about it.

The next thing Peter knows is waking up slumped against the wall. Peter's head feels fuzzy, like he's coming down from some high. It's then that he notices he's tied up too, hands behind his back with the rope digging into his skin. Trying to break them is useless, especially since there's something with the rope that's makes them harder to budge than normal rope. There's also the collar around his neck, chained to the back of the wall as he hears the metal clinking behind him. Shit, he's really in a bind this time. No blasters, no use of his hands, stuck on his knees. Whoever did this really knows Peter's weaknesses well.

Then his vision clears up and it all makes sense, somewhat.

He's too amused to even be properly angry at him. He even lets an unwanted laugh out. "At least you mixed it up this time. Do you get some satisfaction out of actually seeing me bound?" While he would love to continue to be friendly and chatting up his kidnapper, he has to get answers. "What do you want from me now? I don't owe you shit. I paid my debts to you."
