"Don't worry about me. I'll be alright! It's okay." Yeshua cried back to Mary. Even though he was happy that she had given him a protective spell, he wished she would have used it on herself. He quickly cast one on her, but as his attention was diverted, the Gnosis raised one long tentacle and started to let it fall where Mary stood.

"Mary!" Yeshua yelled as he flew towards the tentacle, putting out both of his hands. He couldn't get rid of the whole Gnosis with his touch and power alone, but..if he managed to reach it, then he might be able to eliminate the one tentacle.

No matter how reassuring he may have sounded, Mary was still fairly worried. She was thankful herself for the spell he cast around her, but kept focusing on keeping a barrier up around him, after all he was the one taking the most risk to defeat this Gnosis.

Alas she noticed too late the tentacle that was falling toward her and in spite of her best effort to move out of the way, the creature hits her leg, causing her to fall. It was nothing mortal and thanks to Yeshua's efforts the tentacle was disintegrated before it could make any serious harm to her, but she was still in pain and unable to stand.

"I-I'll be alright, don't worry about it!" she said to him, although the pain could be heard in her voice "Focus on the Gnosis."

Yeshua had managed to disintegrate the tentacle, but Mary's leg looked pretty bad. Despite her words, he was worried about her. Leg's were important. If she needed to run away from this Gnosis, she wouldn't be able to do so..and if she died from the blood loss, he could never forgive himself. Since saying something in reply probably wouldn't help the situation, he cast a light healing 'spell' on her, and what looked like a large dewdrop of energy fell on her leg.

He then focused on the Gnosis. This thing was too big for small shots. Quickly, using every ounce of strength he had, he summoned up a large ball of ice and tossed it at the Gnosis, hoping that this would defeat it.

She did her best not to show it in order to keep Yeshua from worrying, but her leg was very painful. The bleeding wasn't too bad but considering the pain it may have been internal, or maybe even the leg was broken. But it did not matter much to her at this point. The spell cast by Yeshua relived her from much pain for the moment, enough so that she could at least sit.

Mary couldn't be of much help to defeat the Gnosis in her current state, but at least she wouldn't get in the way. She used her own power of Animus to strengthen Yeshua's Anima and allow him to make the attack as strong as it was needed at least, ensuring that the monster would be defeated with this attack.

With Mary's help, the Gnosis died, with a single loud scream. With the Gnosis out of the way, Yeshua quickly landed on the ground and ran towards Mary. He wasn't going to let her die! He couldn't let her die..
He finally managed to reach her, and sat down beside her. "Mary..thank you for your help. Now, please, let me look at your leg. I may be able to heal it."

He'd also have to apologize after this, but Mary's health came first.

Mary faintly smiled to him as he managed to defeat the Gnosis, but her smiles quickly faded when he sat down and asked to see her legs. She had it covered by her gown and tried to place a hand over it, but even that hurt.

"I-I'll be fine Yeshua, really..." she said trying to sound reassuring better As she had feared her leg was broken, but at least there was no blood loss that could be seen thanks to the spell he cast earlier. He could probably help make it better, but she didn't want to be even more of a bother. She felt bad enough to have slowed him down fighting against the Gnosis.

Yeshua sighed and smiled sadly. "Mary, your legs are terrible, even with the cuts and blood gone. You're not a bother. Really, you're not. If you were bothersome, would I have traveled together with you? Would I have tried to protect you?"

He loved Mary, but sometimes she could be stubborn, thinking that she was a burden to the ones around her, even when she wasn't. He placed on hand over the one that held her leg, as a reassuring gesture before putting his other hand on her hurt leg. Skin-to-skin contact always worked better, but this would probably be fine. Using his powers, Yeshua tried to heal Mary's broken leg.

She looked down as he spoke. He was right in everything she said, but she couldn't help and often thought like that. She nodded though and looked up at him with another faint smile "You're right... Sorry."

She winced and breathed deeply when he put his hand on her hurt leg and tried to heal it. The process was slightly painful but once the magic worked, it felt a lot better and much less painful. She wasn't sure if it was entirely healed or not, but it probably was no longer broken. She sighed and put a hand over his "Thank you."

This time, the smile Yeshua held carried no sadness. "It's alright. Don't worry about it."

Once the healing was done, Yeshua was pretty sure that her leg wasn't broken, but he still wasn't going to move her or suggest that they keep going in this state. Better to sit here and wait until they were both ready to move on. Yeshua lightly held the hand that Mary had put over his. "Don't mention it. After all..even people like you and I need help sometimes."

She slowly and slightly moved her leg to make sure all was good- It was still a bit painful but what she felt was minimal when compared to before.

Her smile was warmer when she looked at him "That's right. And i'l always need you." she said and leaned back, resting her head on his shoulder "Just five minutes and I think I'll be able to walk back..."

"And I'll always need you, Mary. Even if you don't realize it." Yeshua smiled and shifted his hands so that one would be wrapped around her shoulders and the other one would still be in her hand. He lightly lay his head on top of hers.

"Alright then. Let's rest for five or ten minutes then. After all..the stars look pretty nice tonight."

"It's a good thing then that i do not plan on leaving you, ever." she replied and sighed contentedly, wrapping her own free arm around his back before nodding.

"They do look very nice." she nodded and looked up, and at least there was no Gnosis to be sighted this time.

"I don't plan on leaving you either.." While Yeshua would have added that he hoped those plans didn't change, he didn't mention it. It would have brought down the mood, made them think about what could happen in the future.

For now, it was best just to look up at the stars, happy that they had escaped that Gnosis attack. "That they do..ah. Look, a shooting star!" Yeshua pointed to the falling star that was in the sky, hoping that Mary would see it.

Remembering that humans made wishes on them, Yeshua too, made a small wish on it.

She was aware that no matter how much they hoped the situation wouldn't change, this may be impossible, especially considering what they are, what they have to do. For them to leave stable lives is but a wish, but it was nice to hope for it.

She looked up at the shooting star when he pointed at it, relaxing a bit in his arms and her smile widening.

"It's beautiful." she said and made her own wish on it, silently. The wish was about him so she wasn't about to say what it was.
