You know, I don't say this all that often, but I think I'd rather gaze at your ass all day long then take a once in a lifetime view of the eclipse. There's just something about how it curves that...
unf, it's just perfect.
[ and yes, yes he is staring at Claire's ass. Quite openly too. Just don't drop those cupcakes. He's starving. ]
Re: seven
The cupcakes are over THERE -->.
She can't decide if she wants to react or not. Part of her thinks he does this just to rile her up. So she settles for rolling her eyes and being humorous over punching him. A lazy half-smile overtakes her lips and she rolls over onto her back, quirking an eyebrow. ]
Better? Not as distracting this way.

and all the cupcakes, stop distracting him!] Hardly. You're just all around distracting. It's why I like you. [ he leans a little closer and presses a kiss to her nose ] Now turn back over so I can stare some more. [ and maybe do a little bit of fondling ]no subject

You know how to work the flattery angle, that's for sure.

Just shut-up and watch the eclipse. It's what you dragged me out here for. [ and then he can have all the fun distracting her ]

Funny how Xavier never taught him that, with all of his talk of pacifism and diplomacy. It took something just a bit stronger than that.
He squeezes her hand a little, tilting his head up to look at the sky, then stops in his tracks and grins.]
Holy shit. Look up, Claire. The sky is falling.
uguuuuu i love them ;a;
She smiles as they walk, looking over at him occasionally just because she can - just because she wants to. It's rare she sees him in a truly good mood. She squeezes back, and is so busy looking at his face that she doesn't even notice he's stopped at first. Her eyebrows raise and she turns her gaze to the stars. Immediately, she lights up. ]
Oh my god! [ Though the last time astronomical phenomena occurred she lost her powers, this seems harmless. And good. And really well timed. ] We should find a hill or something. So we can sit, if you want.

[A sidelong look, both amused and warning: he thinks she must know full well that his temper is only mollified at the moment, not gone, but he still feels the need to remind her. Because there are still moments when his fingers itch for his lighter after a sharp look or an offhand comment from Noah.]
The path to the viewpoint isn't far. Can those shoes handle a hike?

[ At which point she pulls her phone out, and does just that. She's a champion texter, so it doesn't take long, and she shifts her focus back to him immediately. ]
Yeah, I've run from people in these. [ Sad reality is ... so sad. ]

I guess blisters aren't a problem, huh? C'mon, this way.
[Before long, they're hoofing it up a steep trail that leads to an outcropping of rock with the best view of any spot in the city. There are viewpoints with roads attached, sure, but the only one that matters also makes you work for it. He keeps hold of her hand as he climbs, still not trusting those heels completely, since there are spots of loose rock where his own shoes slip and slide a little.]
