They are. [ surprisingly so. ] I've never thought to do this before.

[ and he honestly hasn't. Q is a very very content city boy, who'd much rather build a telescope than use one, as he's sure most people can guess.

well, normally. ]

( that he agrees makes her smile, hidden against the telescope though her face may be. ) No, of course not. ( and that's low, teasing. not maliciously so much as amused, almost fond. it is very much like Q to prefer to build the gadget than to actually use it. )

I appreciate the initiative. ( because eve may have been the one to mention stargazing, but he still built the telescope and suggested that they test it out. )

[ a small smile. ] You have, of course. [ Adventurous, imaginative Moneypenny, not the typical woman with a desk job. ]

[ he could say it was her idea or that he needed a second opinion and her opinion was the obvious one to seek, given her expressed interest in stargazing, but instead, he opts for: ] You're welcome. [ a beat ] I appreciated the idea.

( not the typical desk job, either — which is part of the reason why she may just be suited to it. ) Of course. Was that ever in question?

( all true, but she likes the simplicity of this exchange. it seems fitting, in keeping with the quiet of the night and the stars over them. )
