① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.
② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?
③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.
④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!
⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.
⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.
⑦ mix and match, or make up your own.

[Breaks are few and far between for the class, and today's no exception, unfortunately. But at least these two seem to have gotten off for today!
... Because they were forced to stay back, both getting punished for different reasons.

(Jiro's got no idea what Midoriya did, but she may or may not have convinced Kaminari to do something involving a two liter of soda and the powerlines.
It's only a couple day's worth, but the house arrest is well deserved.

Today, though, while the rest of the class is out, they're tasked with shoveling the snow in front of the dorms. An easy but tedious task that's taking a bit of their time and a lot of their morale to do...

... Which is why, partway through it, Midoriya's gonna feel a snowball smack right into the back of his head.
And yet, if he looks, she's still pushing about a large load of snow as if nothing happened.
Though he may also notice one of her jacks reeling in from a nearby snowbank...

[ It doesn't snow like this on the Islands. Not to say Riku has never seen it before; somewhere in the back of his closet is a knitted cap his mother made him wear one winter, long enough ago that the details are blurry, and when he jams the one Naminé had given him onto his head, that's what he thinks of.

The chill would get to him more, he thinks, if his blood wasn't pumping as hard as it is. When he first arrived he definitely couldn't ignore it, the way the wind whipped through his jacket and made the back of his neck prickle like an icecube had been dropped down his nape. It almost made him miss his long hair again: at least it would have acted like a natural scarf. But he's bundled and ready now, and it's hard to think that the snow is a nuisance when so much fun can be had with it.

You can build forts in the sand, just like you can with snow, but you can't have a snowball fight.

His breath gusts out in front of him in little puffs of condensation as he packs his ammo tighter, ready to maximize distance and impact. He peeks out just a little at first, clocking where his twin is crossing the courtyard, and hides again. A heartbeat, and he peeks out the other side to make sure he hasn't been seen—

Then he steps out and hucks the snowball directly at his head like a pitcher throwing a baseball. ]

[It had been a couple of weeks since the incident back in the caves. So far there have been no reports or further incidents, so the two are able to focus on keeping the hatchling Titans safe in the old shrine beyond the campus grounds. One one of their visits, Eustace notices something...strange as they walk up the overgrown path leading to the old building. Although it's not unusual to have occasional cold fronts come through, the forecast had been on the warmer side.

...So why is there a hint of frost on the ground and outer walls?

The answer becomes clear when they hurry inside and open the doors to be greeted by a strong gust of icy cold wind, snow flurries kissing their faces. Eustace can only stand there in stunned surprise as most of the building had become encased in ice and large mounds of snow—and it's still going. All the little hatchling Titans are sliding about, some chirping in joy while others scramble to get a foothold or at least get to the snow so they can stop sliding about. Some knock into each other like bowling balls, sending them sliding in different directions. It's as if a blizzard had been dropped in and trapped inside this one building.

The true culprit?

As Eustace takes a careful step inside, trying to remain on patches of snow and avoiding the ice, Nivalis, the hatchling Titan he had named due to the snow and glacier nature of its form, slips and slides up to him. With glacial white blue eyes wide and shining, it chirps and spins in delight, as if trying to say, "Look, Dad! Look what I did!"]

[ So here's the thing: the roads are closed, and it's the heaviest snowfall Insomnia has ever had in the longest time. Record-breaking, the meteorologists said, and it won't be letting up anytime soon, which means that the fact that the crown prince is out of the Citadel and in his apartment, although heavily guarded, still presents its fair share of logistical problems.

But that's a problem for the upper echelons to solve. Noctis isn't entirely concerned with it: the apartment's warm and safe, the snowstorm will blow itself out in a couple of days or so at the most, and he doesn't have to go to class.

What he's concerned about, however, is his best friend. ]

The blizzard was roaring outside and Agron was grateful to have found such steady and foremost warm shelter. The company could be better than this mercenary but it was no time to complain as he sat there shivering by the fire. He was far too accustomed to the warm climate of Rome than this cold, desperate for warmth. He glanced on over at his companion, wondering what was going through the others mind. He was a hard man to read.

"I was told to try 'snowboarding'," he mused, attempting to evoke a conversation to pass the time. "But I've yet to understand what it is," he added, his voice clearly struggling with the foreign words.
