[ A 16-17 year-old princess of heart who grew up on an island with her two best friends and doesn't remember much of her past. She is kind and caring, and it's made a point in her canon that as a princess of heart, she is naturally pure-hearted and devoid of any darkness. She's had her fair share of kidnappings and being relegated to damsel in distress.

Nevertheless, she can be a feisty one! Her biggest goal is protecting people important to her and getting stronger to do so. She needs someone who can appreciate her kind heart but not want to put her in a little box and stop her from achieving her goals in the name of 'protection'. She needs someone who will both challenge her and encourage her to go after what she wants, even if it's difficult and not what she wants to hear. Someone who's seen a lot and can show her different perspectives from her own would be especially valuable. ]

( A 28-year-old rescue worker, the first female member of the elite rescue squad Sirius. Kazami is a very dedicated and loyal person, valuing her relationships with friends and family above much else; it was the death of her younger sister that inspired her into rescue work in the first place, to prevent anyone else from losing a loved one that way. She is naturally very emotional, but has learned how to put her emotions aside and act calm and logically in high-stress situations - and in canon, she's one of the biggest voices of reason during a disaster.

Canonically, Kazami is drawn to men who are a little bit broken like she is, who understand what it's like to have lost someone. But what she really needs is someone who can support her, caring for her when she stretches herself thin caring for everyone else. Someone who will challenge her to be her best and pull her back from the flames when she's not thinking clearly. )

Basil Hallward is an artist of some modest reputation, popular in the Aesthetic galleries. He's a poorly closeted homosexual, trying to survive the scandals of a Labouchere Amendment England, where even the most vague letter or restrained touches could be grounds for at best blackmail and at worst criminal action. This danger doesn't seem to prevent him from developing passionate and sometimes obsessive crushes on pretty young things. It was this obsession which drove him to create his masterwork: a portrait of an uncommonly beautiful young aristocrat named Dorian Gray. He did not know what this token of worship would become until it was much too late. Wildean love is so often a fatal thing, the complete immolation of the self. Or the exsanguination, in Basil's case.

Basil's “type” is informed by the sexual sub-cultures of the day and by the young man he loved so much it ultimately killed him. Young men of idealized beauty (blond-haired, slim, lips and eyes fit to inspire poets and painters alike). Basil seems, however, to conduct himself innocuously-- albeit in his flustered and heartbroken fashion-- even when consumed by obsessive love.

Basil is himself in his mid-thirties and this bloom of youth has passed from him, though Wilde's notes describe him as reasonably handsome. He loves so passionately it could be described as worship ( and he subscribes to the Wildean aphorism that “love is a sacrament that must be taken kneeling”). He puts the men he loves on a pedestal and nothing will knock them down short of witnessing their fatal cruelty firsthand. While he holds to his “type”, I think it would benefit him to have an affair with someone his own age. I'd love to give him a “fix-it” scenario of being in a healthy, balance relationship. Someone to save him from himself and, by extension, his fatal attraction to Dorian Gray. However, because I am trash, I will also put him in the position of being strung along and/or manipulated (through blackmail or whatnot) or something along the lines of Wilde's tempestuous relationship with Bosie Douglas.
