#justdatingthings Part of the charm of being in a relationship isn't found in the amor, the grand shows and trapping. Contentment can just as easily come from the little things - or even the silly things - about being close to someone. At first, you're either naturally standoffish or wary or you're intent on impressing them and not looking like a total nerd. That's how the "getting to know you" process works, unfortunately. As you get more serious...you may actually get less so? Maybe you'll let them see your dorky humor, your weird laugh, your bizarre hobbies, your bed head. It could end up that the two of you have more fun playing video games together, Netflixing and chilling, baking cookies, or sword fighting (if you're in the olden days, where Netflix and cookies are scarce). And, really, you can't help that their clothes are so comfortable on you. It's a good thing you guys are together. You really did gain a best bud. Character, preferences, etc. You know the drill! Thread. Go forth and kill spiders, share clothes, snuggle together for warmth, play Mario Kart, open jars, bake brownies, hang out on the drawbridge of a castle, slay vampires, whatever you dudes get up to. ♥

[Kiyohime will start to layer blankets, on on top of the other.

A blanket is something I want to drape over myself, right?

[ She doesn't protest that. Honestly, she's pretty used to getting bodily hauled around by Servants; even Mash does it on a semi-regular basis. ]

Yyyyes? That's the idea of them. And a blanket nest just has more.

... Could you please take the hint that I want to throw you onto the blanket pile, because I'm calling you a blanket?

[Having to explain makes it lose charm, dammit!]

[ Oh. ]

--ohhhhhhhhhhhh. Really?!

Yes...

[She sighs. A large one.] This is what I get for trying to be subtle.

[fujimaru]

No, I think I was just too excited about a nest... sorry.

You can make it up to me by covering me, blanket.

Yes ma'am.

[ But what she does first is step back and bow, gesturing grandly to the... well, it's more of a pile than a proper nest, but you know, the effort was there. ]

You first, and then I'll cover you.

[Being called "ma'am" sure makes her let out this small noise of glee.

Sure, she can do this. But first she'll be proper and take off her geta... before quickly leaping onto the pile.

There was the sound of "wheeee" coming from her if you listened closely.]

[ Cute... sometimes, when she's not being a terrifying yandere, Kiyohime is in fact very cute.

Ritsuka waits until she's settled, then climbs onto the pile herself, grabbing one edge and then tugging it with her. All the better to get wrapped up with, right? ]

[Look she just has trust issues because of a CERTAIN SOMEONE...

Kiyohime lights up at what is happening, but how could she not? Finally, something is going her way for once!]

Certainly far from a nest... but I think this works nicely.

[ Everyone deserves nice things once in a while! And as long as she's not tipping into the whole yandere girlfriend end, Ritsuka is happy to indulge.

Once she's settled, Ritsuka scoots closer and leans up against Kiyohime's side, letting her head drop to rest on her shoulder. ]

It's good enough. It tried, that counts.

[Kiyohime thinks she should be the one resting her head on a shoulder, but she can take this for now!

... Gonna make fun of her though.]

And no gold stars to hand out that say "you tried".

... Ah, but I should probably put my horns away if I'm going to be huddled up like this.

[ She makes a little agreeable noise at the teasing. Whatever, it's another day in her life; she can take it. She's more curious about the comment. ]

You can do that?

[ Listen, Ritsuka doesn't think about these things terribly often. Shapeshift, like Clairvoyance, is one of those skills that's so out of her normal range of expectations that it doesn't naturally occur to her. But-- ]

I wanna see.

[Kiyohime has to shuffle a little, to be face to face for this. She doesn't have to do this, but she wants to.]

Then watch and be amazed.

[It doesn't take long. Her horns almost dematerialize into light, like when an ascension happens... but in reverse.]

I do hope you'll still like to look at me though. My horns are a special part about me...

You really can make them go away...

[ Without thinking, really, Ritsuka reaches up to touch the spot where the left horn would have been, petting her fingers through Kiyohime's hair. It only takes a second beyond that to transition to just petting her. ]

They're cute, but it's easier to touch you this way.

Kiyohime can't properly respond, she's too busy having her heart flutter about.]

Ah, you, uh, more...

[That confusing mess of words had a message in it. A message delivered as she tried to snuggle in closer.]

[ Oh no, she's cute. It might have been an impulsive gesture to start with, but Ritsuka's not blind to the response. A teasing little smile curls her lips. ]

More? So this is okay?

[ She lets her fingers slide a little further through Kiyohime's hair, giving it a very gentle playful tug. ]

[bellfry]

[The two are close enough that Ritsuka can likely hear the noise coming from Kiyohime, that almost sounds like a purr. Something about having her hair stroked, ESPECIALLY by her dear Husband, is making her lose all of her dangerous edge and turn into a soft mess.]

Yes... [She resists making a bigger deal about the tug, afraid that such a comment would stop this.]

[fujimaru]

[ Dragons can purr! Who knew? She's learned something new today.

But since she gets the go-ahead, Ritsuka keeps up with the petting, smiling as she does. ]

You're cute like this.

[Just Kiyohime, probably.

Kiyohime lights up, the flow of compliments and good reception is really getting to her.]

I... am? Do you like cute? Do you want more of it?

[She doesn't know what to do...]

I like a lot of things, Kiyohime.

[ Really, one of Ritsuka's great strengths is being easygoing and having no major sense of preferences in the types of people she likes. ]

It's nice when you're calm, but you should be yourself. Don't worry about me.

[ You can summon the woman out of the Berserker class, but you can't take the Berserker out of the woman. ]

[How is that a strength when the girl in hugging range wants to be preferred?]

[ Well.

She's not expecting it (she never does; even with Kiyohime there's that little recordscratch moment where she doesn't understand what's happening), but she's not actually protesting it. ]

[Oh hey, no resistance. Kiyohime will be taking advantage of that, by making it long lasting, wrapping her arms around her prey target Master and moving on to even deeper kissing. You are now free to enjoy her tongue.
