Tonight, Freelancer is on shore leave. It's a rare and precious thing that most of the soldiers spend hopping from one bar or club to the next, but the planet they've wound up on is no Reach, in York's opinion. Even Errera was better than the first two places they wound up at, and when they decide to head to a third York taps out. He's bored and hungry, and maybe there's some decent food to be found on this sorry excuse for a colony. At least it has to be better than ship's mess, where nearly everything is vat-grown or loaded with preservatives or reconstituted. He doesn't find many places open, though, since it's already nearly 3am... but there's a Denny's.

He stands outside considering for a moment, then shrugs. Why the fuck not, at least they'll probably have fresh eggs. And the service should be fast, considering how few people will be in there. When he ventures in, however, he's (pleasantly) surprised to see the back of a familiar head at a window booth. York grins, strolling over and taking a seat across from his friend. ]

Hey North. You bail on clubbing, too?

Rayla certainly wasn't complaining. So long as she had her normal human disguise in place and was wary of her accent, all would be fine! What could possible go wrong? .....was that maple syrup and bacon on an ice cream? That was just downright wrong. She had heard that tavern food could be treacherous in the human kingdoms, but this was reaching another level. She had not seen Soren yet or she would have started fretting about something other than food.
