gen texts

maybe you hate calling people on the phone. maybe you hate talking face to face. maybe you love both of those things but texting is more convenient, or the only option, right now. who knows, we're not the texting police.
whatever the case, it's time to send some texts. feel free to include initial texts or preferences in your top levels, but it's not required.

Who's phone Klaus is borrowing.
He hands it back in order to wait for his brother to show up, bracing himself for the 'you can't keep poisoning yourself like this' lecture. ]

He and Patch don't exchange words, just a pointed look and an eye roll before she unlocks the door and leaves the two of them alone.
"Seriously Klaus? This has to stop."

Right into the lecture Diego's got planned for him.
"What, ending up sleeping it off in jail? It's been lovely seeing you again, detective~" He makes a little flourish of a bow, and she rolls her eyes before turning back to her paperwork.
"Better here than at the house. I bet dad's pissed, huh?"

"I though you were working to get past this."

More like he relapsed. Dragged into more nightmares, more memories, more ghosts and ghouls and specters tearing at his psyche.
"Look can we do this later, I've got a headache..."

"How about we swing past Griddy's and grab a coffee and something to eat before we head home?" He'd be a little more willing to talk with a full stomach.

"Reckon we could get him to do it again?"
no subject
"That would be a lot of donuts. Probably the entire shop." Might as well keep the conversation around something that DOESN'T involve him being chewed out for ending up in jail overnight. Again.

He'll bring up Klaus' stint in jail again in a little while, when he was feeling a little better.
For now, he was going to enjoy the time they had together.

“He’d do it. Hands down, he’d do it.”
When they pull into Griddy’s parking lot, Klaus is quick to get out of the car. He needs coffee and something to help with the hangover. At least they hadn’t figured out he was on something a little stronger than alcohol last night, although he’s sure Diego willZ

Diego follows Klaus out of the car and into Griddy's, taking up a seat in a booth as far from the counter as he can. Any conversation they're going to have doesn't need to be had neat prying ears.
