So there's that guy/girl/whatever you've been eyeing this entire time. And now you've finally gotten the courage to go up to them and actually talk like a normal person instead of being a huge creeper. However, all you can think of are pick up lines. Horrible ones at that. Good luck with that, buddy, 'cause you're on your own.

how to do

1. Post with a character putting name and fandom in the subject
2. Hit up other people's characters with horrible pick up lines ("Is that a gun in your pants or are you just happy to see me?", etc)
3. Character reactions can be either:
   • WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON??????
   • /equally horrible pick up line
   or whatever the player feels up to doing.
4. If you are out of ideas check this site out
5. All else fails, JUST HAVE FUN.

[ technically she's an 80's kid. late 70's if you want to push it but luckily she's been on earth long enough to at least understand the statement. carol raises an eyebrow. ]

The dissonance between Captain and referring to me as an object is... incredible. [ she lifts a corner of her mouth though. it was pretty good. ]

He half-grins back. Perfect! They're both in on the joke as he had hoped.

"Not just 'an' object. THE object! The Captain Marvel of all back to school supplies!"

[marvelling]

Well, what an honour. [ she deadpans. ] I didn't realize I was a highly desired object, that makes this much better.

"Well you've got a lot of really cool features, you're a hell of an organizer, and you've got some damn impressive style and color. Lisa Frank would be crazy jealous!"

Yes it was a crappy pickup line, but he was committed to that metaphor every step of the way! She had to give him kudos for that, surely.

[marvelling]

And in this scenario are we talking about me or me as a trapper keeper? [ carol almost smiles again. she's almost impressed, which is a big feat. he should be proud. ] Just for my personal clarification.

Without missing a beat, he nods.

"Yes."

[marvelling]

[ that works, carol smiles and exhales a laugh. she shakes her head. ] You're funny. I almost laughed just then.

Well, there was his day 100% made. He may not have known Carol Danvers personally, but he knew enough about Captain Marvel to know she was funny and not the kind of person to laugh 'politely' .

He smiles, genuinely and brightly.

"Wow! I'll take it!...Anything else I can do while I'm ahead? I'm a huge admirer."

[marvelling]

To win my favour? [ carol raises an eyebrow, the smile faded but the amusement still sparkling in her eye. ] Can't say I've ever thought about it. [ she looks thoughtful. ] I wouldn't say no to a sandwich?
