The Interrogation Meme
The Interrogation Meme

Your crimes were unspeakable, your lies were outnumbered, but finally you've been caught.
They bring you in, sit you down, and chain you up. No matter what power you have, no matter
how strong you are, you're not going anywhere so get comfy.
It's going to be a long night.
They bring you in, sit you down, and chain you up. No matter what power you have, no matter
how strong you are, you're not going anywhere so get comfy.
It's going to be a long night.
Rules
1. Post with your character, canon, and any prefs - You're the captive
2. Tag around to other characters. You're the interrogator.
3. Roll. Or, you know, don't.
3. Horribles.
RNG OPTIONS
1. Truth serum
You know this person isn't going to speak easy but you've got a surprise for them. This serum aught to loosen their lips a little.
2. Torture
The old fashion way might work best for this particular fellow. How about those nail screws?
3. Bargain
You've got something they really want, or really need. If they fess up, if they tell the truth of the matter, they'll get it.
4. Black mail
So, remember that night about ten years ago...? You know something they don't want the rest of the world to know and you're going to use it.
5. Seduction
Just because they're in chains on a chair doesn't mean you two can't have a little fun, right? Might be even more fun, come to think about it.
6. Leverage
Whether it's love, drugs, or something else -- it's hanging above your head. You're craving, aren't you? Or maybe that someone special is in danger if you don't spill.
7. WILDCARD
BECAUSE GIRAFFE.
7 because why not
besides, who the hell would pass up the chance to save Iron Man? even if he wasn't his idol, there are some things you just can't turn your back on. code of the hero and all that.
when he finally approaches the door to Tony's cell after what feels like hours of running and slinking through the shadows, it almost feels too easy. no mooks standing guard, no alarms shrieking the moment he swipes the stolen keycard through the electronic lock, not even one of those laser grid security systems you always see in the movies. maybe they already interrogated him and feel like they can let their guard down. sucks to be them.
regardless, the door slides open and he slowly walks in. his eyes are sweeping the room, checking for anything that looks even remotely like a security camera, before they settle on the grown-up before him.]
Mr. Stark.
excellent!
It feels like he’s been in the cell for years. He hasn’t been, but it’s small and dark, the temperature is poorly regulated, and the air is stale. It reminds him of Afghanistan, of the cave and a rusty old car battery hooked up to his chest by kinked, fraying wires. He hasn’t been sleeping, he doesn’t want to deal with the nightmares, and he’s tired. So very, very tired.
When the door opens, he blinks bleary eyes at the figure standing in the doorway. He wonders if it’s a hallucination brought on by sleep deprivation. He realizes that at this point, he doesn’t care. ]
The one and only.
[ He has no idea who he’s looking at, but whoever it is isn’t one of his captors. That’s good enough for him. ]
Just passing through or you dropping by to hang out?

this is Tony Stark. he's talking to Tony Stark, he's face to face with THE Tony Stark and holy shit wait til he tells Stan and Kyle about this ohgodohgodhohgod -
...ahem.]
My name is Mysterion. I'm here to help.
[he takes a step forward and moves to crouch in front of the older man, studying him.]
Are you hurt? Can you move? [and, as an afterthought, he adds an uncharacteristically respectful:] Sir?

If it means getting out of here, I could walk out on two broken legs. Which I don’t have, for the record.
[ He’d been beaten a few times, but nothing worse than he’d ever endured and as far as he knows, nothing’s broken or irreparably damaged. Plus, he’s telling the truth. If it means freedom, there’s precious little he won’t do. ]
Could do with a little help, though, if you don’t mind.
[ He reaches out a hand, wanting help to stand. If needs must, he can do it on his own. But he’s hoping he doesn’t have to. ]
And please, call me Tony. Think you’ve earned it, getting through this place to find me.

[immediately, he wraps both hands around the man's arm, trying to pull him up. it's a little ungainly, but he is still a kid. to say that Tony has him beat in the size department would be an understatement.]
And it wasn't difficult. I've had practice climbing through ventilation shafts. Most people don't think to look above them until it's too late.
[one of the perks of being small, he guesses. without another pause, he reaches into his belt and produces a keycard identical to the one that opened Tony's cell.]
They don't think to keep an eye on their pockets either.
no subject
True. Very true. If it's not at eye level, it might as well be invisible.
[ Before Iron Man, Tony was as guilty of this as the next person. Now that he can get up high and attack from above, he's learned. Always look up. Horror movies are good for teaching that lesson, too. ]
Good job. Now let's—Wait. Are we going out through the ventilation shafts, too?
