TYPES OF SCENES
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.

⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.

⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

[Her response catches him off guard, and he can't help but stare down at her a bit in some confusion.]

...Why?

[Eustace is already a man of few words at the best of times, but that's really all he can say for the moment. It's not the first time he's heard similar from them, how they always invite him to stay and make their laments whenever he parts. But in this particular context, what he considered as just the usual and never really though twice about seems a bit...different.

Is his company really something she'd be satisfied with?]

Why? [ she laughs a little, though there's nothing snide or malicious about it. ] Because you're my friend!

[ it's a simple answer, one she doesn't really need to think about at all, and maybe that's really all there is to it. ]

I like spending time with you when we can, even if it's just going shopping or running errands.

[ they don't get to see him very often to begin with, either because of his other engagements or other, more personal reasons. lyria's never tried to push him for it — the most she can do is remind him that he always has people who care about him, who will always welcome him regardless of how much time has passed. ]

I know we'll have to say goodbye later, but it's okay, because I know you'll come back.

[He can only remain silent at her simple, almost innocent answer, quietly ruminating over words before he murmurs under his breath—.]

[Friends... They would see him like that, wouldn't they? And he...

He thinks of how they first came to meet and what he had been ordered to do. Even if that was no longer an issue, if Lyria knew the truth, would she still feel the same? And what of him? For him to go to such lengths to call the Society off their backs...

There's a ghost of a smile on his lips.]

I suppose we are. [It really is that simple.]

I can't really make any promises...but I can try. [To come by more often and stay longer. It's not as if he dislikes being with them, despite how he may appear at times.]

But that still leaves me with a problem...

But that's the important part, isn't it? [ her smaller fingers give his a brief, encouraging squeeze. ] That you want to try.

[ eustace's subtle smile only serves to make hers brighter, practically beaming at the thought of being able to make him smile, even if just for a brief moment. it's not very often she can catch him making that expression, after all. there may be a lot of things she doesn't know about him yet, but lyria has always believed that he is kind beneath his stoic demeanor. getting to that part takes time, but neither of them are in a rush. ]

Problem? [ her smile dims a little as she blinks up at him again. ] What do you mean?

[If things go well, she may actually get a chance to see a real smile! Maybe. For now he looks down at her, debating if he should tell her the truth. In the end he decides to as it would make things easier.]

Your gift.

[Okay, maybe a bit too blunt.]

...White Day is coming soon and I didn't know what to give you in return for the chocolates.

[And he actually looks a little troubled by it.]

[ if only she had a camera! then she could show gran and the others, but she'll just have to memorize it until that opportunity comes. ]

My gift...? [ she's confused for a moment until he brings up white day, breaking into a smile again as she waves her hand a little. ] Ah, it's okay! Actually, I kind of thought that this was your gift already. Coming back to visit us, I mean.

[ she has a feeling that won't do as an actual gift, though. ]

[Indeed, the answer only gets her a puzzled frown.]

No... Regardless, that doesn't seem like it would be enough.

[Or...maybe it would for Lyria? It doesn't change the fact that this had all been a coincidence, so it's definitely not counting in his book.]

Is there really nothing else you'd like?

[It's not as if he hadn't thought of things. Trinkets, accessories, jewelry, even toys like stuffed pushes (he may have had lingered around the dog ones longer than necessary). But none of them seemed quite right... So now he's a bit more perplexed.]

[interacting]

[ soft stuffed animals would have been nice, especially the dog ones for sure. lyria would have loved them and anything else eustace wanted to give her all the same, but they're not something she would have wanted specifically. those things can't replace eustace, after all.

but it'd be rude of her to turn him down, and she supposes it's only fair to give something back in return for valentine's day. so after some thought, her eyes brighten with an idea. ]

Mm, I thought of something! [ he's a little too tall, though... ] Could you please lean down?

[Dog plush will happen for whenever he has a reason to get her a gift. Like her birthday. ...Whenever that is and if he ever hears about it. Or something. IT JUST HAS TO HAPPEN SOMEHOW.

At her request, his ears twitch a little in curiosity.]

but anyway, his ears twitch and lyria has to stop herself from looking too pleased so as to not make him uncomfortable. she's sure he gets enough people wanting to touch his ears and part of her is still nervous, but he's leaning towards her and she's beaming anyway, reaching up to carefully pet his ears. ]

Ah... it's so soft! [ her voice is an excited whisper, fingers gently cupping the base of his ears before pulling back again. ] Thank you!

Really, he should have expected this. How many times has Gran asked if he could pet his ears along with a few others who were brave (or sociable) enough? But even so, he's a bit surprised since he hadn't expected her to ask here of all places, in the middle of a crowd, and his ears twitch at the touch of her fingers. But despite how he may seem, he honestly doesn't mind too much...so long as it's from the right people. Fortunately, Lyria is one of those, so his eyes just flick up towards her, able to see her expression and hear that excited little whisper.

...Heh.

The corner of his lips quirk just a bit into a bit of an amused grin.]

Are you sure it's enough? You can pet more if you'd like.

[Now he might be teasing her a little.]

[ it's easy to forget about being in the middle of the street when she has eustace's ears to distract her. thankfully, they're off to the side and out of direct foot traffic, so she can take her time in petting them. there's a pleased flush on her cheeks, embarrassed but happy at the fact that he hasn't shrugged her off yet — his amused smile doesn't help either, but she is at least aware that he's teasing her. ]

O-Okay! Maybe just a little more...

[ look, they're fluffier and softer than anything she's ever felt, it's hard to resist. her touch is gentle, like she is with everything else, careful to avoid the inner parts of his ear as she brushes the pad of her thumb up towards the tip. ]

[There's just another slight twitch of his ear as she continues to touch them. He can tell she's being careful about it, and though he wouldn't say it out loud now, it actually feels quite nice. Enough to make him close his eyes and lean into her touch a bit. Even though he can hear the hustle and bustle of people not far from them, it all seems distant and quiet. He's relaxed. Comfortable. Content. It's not the first time he's noticed, but it's always strange how he always finds himself able to even feel this way around not only Lyria, but Gran and even Vyrn, too. And seeing Lyria so happy...yeah, he's sure he made the right decisions.


And then he starts feeling a bit of a crick in his back and neck for having to lean down awkwardly for so long. His eyes reopen and he glances up at her again, wondering if she's satisfied. He can hold out for a little longer, but not too much.]

[interacting]

[ as much as she would like to pet his ears for the rest of the day and night, she at least has the sense that it'd get uncomfortable for him while he keeps leaning down the way he is. if only she were taller! or maybe if he was shorter it may be easier on his back.

but it's only for a few more moments, giggling lightly at the way his ears twitch beneath her fingers. eventually she releases them, carefully brushing back a few strands of his hair she had pushed out of place. ]

There. [ she beams up at him again, pleased with how relaxed he seems. ] Thank you, Eustace!

[Only once he feels her brushing back his hair and pulling back does he straighten, feeling only a little tingle from having to hold the position. Good thing he's still relatively young and athletic.]

Mm. [Just a quiet hum as his ears twitch a little, still finding it a little odd (if also a little amusing) how she really wanted such a simple thing.]

And you said you wanted to spend more time together, right? [Small, thoughtful pause.] It wasn't initially planned, but since we're here we can look around before heading back.

[interacting]

Okay, but only if it won't keep you from anything!

[ just being able to see eustace at all was enough on its own, but there's a giddiness that buoys her up knowing that he still wants to spend time with her. lyria knows his time is always split between them and the society; she only hopes he has time to rest when he's alone too. ]

Do you think we can take a look at the bazaar we saw earlier? I've never been to one before!

[flamekthunder]

[Just a small shake of his head to her first statement before he holds out his hand to her.]

We can. But we should continue like this so as not to be separated again.

[He is determined to not have a repeat of what happened earlier, and he has a feeling she won't mind the arrangement all that much.]

Right!

[ she takes his hand readily, not minding in the least. she's already buzzing with anticipation at all the things she might find at the bazaar; she'll have to tell gran and vyrn all about it later. ]

I wonder what kind of food they'll have for sale? Vyrn told me about these candied apples he had once at a festival... I hope I can try it too!

[And guiding her through the busy streets. At least his height gives him the advantage of being able to see through the crowds and figure out a path to weave through until they hit the main road leading back to the bazaar. From there he'll keep her on the inside to prevent her from being jostled too much.]

Candied apples, hm? [Just a thoughtful hum as he recalls the treat, having had it a few times before.] They might have some... If not can always try to make them. It's just hot sugar and corn syrup or caramel over the apple with some toppings so it shouldn't be too difficult.

[He says, and technically true, but he's never actually done it himself. It just always seemed simple whenever he saw the booths for it.]
