Post-Apocalyptic Meme

Well, it’s 2012, and we all know what that means: the world’s going to end this year! So in honor of impending doom, have a Post-Apocalyptic Meme
How it Works:
- Post with your characters.
- Use RNG to choose a scenario.
- ???
- Profit!
- Alien Invasion- Aliens have taken over the earth.
- Climate Change- The climate of our planet has shifted suddenly.
- Cybernetic Rebolt- Technology has turned against us.
- Impact Event- A meteor struck the Earth.
- Nuclear Warfare- They dropped the big one. Enjoy that fallout.
- Pandemic- A disease is threatening to wipe out human life on earth.
- Resource Depletion- There are no longer enough resources to support life.
- Zombie Apocalypse- An oldie but a classic, zombies are invading and destroying everything.
- Other- Combine several scenarios or come up with your own!

They'd been stockpiling and distributing stuff to the people they could, and it was relatively safer than wandering into an unknown store several miles down the road.

"Or a bullet."

"I'll show you the way back."

Too bad she wasn't actually military.
Sarah took a moment to compose herself, then nodded.

He smiled reassuringly again, leaving the window rolled down before turning the truck around and, making sure she was following, starting to head back to the base.

Her radio was back on and the death toll was climbing. The President had taken ill along with most of his family. No one had heard from London in days. Fear spread like wildfire. Tokyo was hit hard and there was rioting and looting in the Mideast. In Mexico, they were burning corpses in the streets.
Sarah just felt dead tired, as if a heavy weight had come crashing down on her shoulders.

So he just focused on driving, and finally, they pulled on to the base. Bucky spoke with the guards about letting Sarah through and after he was sure everything was alright - which did include making absolutely sure she wasn't sick herself (as sure as one could be from looking, anyway) - drove a little further down, parked the truck and hopped out, waiting for the woman and realizing, belatedly, that he didn't even know her name.

Maybe it was the guns.
Maybe it was just because they were military and their mindset was familiar. Whatever. She could breathe a careful sigh of relief even if her head was pounding from the stress of it all. That and she'd been giving John most of the food and telling him she'd had her share.

"By the way, I'm Sergeant James Barnes," he said, not moving to shake her hand because that had sort of been one of the first things to go when the disease had broken out. Even if neither of them looked sick now, it was still good to be cautious about how much contact you had with strangers. "Most people call me Bucky. I realized I kind of forgot to introduce myself earlier."

She stuffed her hands into her pockets.
"I people are afraid if we give our names we'll get to know each other and it'll be worse if we die. But I'd rather know someone than not."
