1. HANDCUFFED.
Maybe one character has handcuffed themselves to the other on purpose. Maybe not. Either way, the cuffs are awfully sturdy and it looks like you've just lost the key.

2. TIED UP / CAPTIVE.
Being actually tied up isn't a necessity, although you're more than welcome to write it that way! The important part of this prompt is that the two characters are both being held captive by an outside force, one with less than benevolent intentions.

3. TRAPPED INDOORS.
The classic "snowed in" option, although snow isn't the only option! Any sort of intolerable weather works, and there are always more creative options, like being trapped in an underground bunker during a nuclear winter. The world is your oyster.

4. ACCIDENT / RUBBLE.
A collapsing building pinning two people down gives ample time for a bonding session. Or screaming for help. It's up to you.

5. AN ISLAND / THE WILDERNESS.
Whichever location you choose, it's deserted save for two. They'll have to fight over the meager resources there are or work together to survive until they can return to their homes.

6. IN SPACE.
Maybe someone just pulled a Passenger and woke another passenger from their cryopod, or maybe all the others in your crew died and they're the only ones left. In space, you're really, truly alone.

7. TWO MAN JOB.
They're not physically trapped together, but there's a job that only these two can do. Maybe they hate each other, but hate a third party more. Maybe they've been stuck together on a mission by a superior. The possibilities are endless, so don't be afraid to get creative.

[ Lea doesn't kick the door, but only because he's made that mistake once already in the past and just thinking about it makes his foot throb with the ghost of the memory. The room is the kind of space you can watch from above, and while it makes Lea feel a little like an ant under a jar he understands the point of it. Ienzo wanted to use his illusions in a controlled environment for his little battle experiment, and Lea agreed because he apparently has no self preservation instinct anymore.

Okay, maybe that's being a little dramatic, but being trapped in a lab doesn't fill him with the warm and fuzzies. He'd only agreed to this because he'd been putting some thought into what Ienzo said, and training against an illusion meant he didn't actually have to worry about hurting his opponent. Lea might be new to a keyblade, but he wasn't new to exactly how much he could injure a person. Just because he wasn't a Nobody anymore didn't mean he lost all of that knowledge or power.

The sudden lock down, or power loss, or whatever it was that happened wasn't part of the plan, though. The room isn't exactly tiny, but it's sure starting to feel that way. ]

[ You know there’s that one person who could ask the devil himself for a favor and he’d probably just do it with no strings attached? Yeah. That person was Jesse McCree. Even after wrecking her omnic butler, stealing her bike and completely thwarting their weapon’s score, that scruffy faced idiot still had a way with words.

Annoyingly so.

Anyway. He must have been hurting for help if he was asking her. Or maybe it was just faster and more convenient since they were all stateside. Whatever the case, he'd gone on to explain that he'd gotten word of an old friend from Overwatch that had been kidnapped up in Europe and shipped way the hell over to the north eastern United States. Yeah. No. She had her own business to go about. The north wasn't really a place she cared to pay a visit to. Not now, anyway. Then he kept talking and offered her something in return. Something she really couldn’t turn down. The details aren’t important. Needless to say, she begrudgingly accepted.

A little more excitement wasn't a bad thing, right?

Having purposefully gotten herself caught, she found the entire parameter to be pretty well fortified. It was definitely secure enough, though she reckoned they still wouldn't stand a chance with McCree's ridiculous aim and the Deadlock gang closing in on them. She’d play damsel in distress long enough to find Jesse's friend, which would allow B.O.B. to pinpoint her location, bust them out, and her gang would take care of the rest. If everything went without a hitch, it'd be smooth sailing to get her to safety and then the rest of them back home.

The door to Angela’s current holding cell opens and Ashe is roughly shoved inside. She stumbled forward, cursing under a breath as she tossed a glare over at their captor. Turning on her heel, she ran over to the door just as it closed, slamming her fists against it. ]

Didn't your mama ever teach you how to treat a woman? Ya’ll better let me go! Do you have any idea who I am?! You won’t get away with this! [ Yes. Put on a good show. Scream, yell. Give the door a couple of futile kicks, at least until the man slams his own fists against the door and yells back at her to keep quiet. She glares defiantly at him through the slats on the door's window, watching him finally turn and walk away. Once she's certain that he's out of earshot she pushes herself away from the door with a soft huff, raking her fingers through her hair to smooth it back and then dusting her sleeves off. They'd wrestled her to the ground earlier and she looked a little unkempt because of it. ]

You must be Dr. Ziegler. Figured you'd be a little harder to find in this place. [ There's a 180 shift in her demeanor and she doesn't look the least bit concerned about their situation. Just... mildly annoyed. She turns to face Angela, resting a hand on her hip as she looks her over. She fit the description Jesse’d given her. ] Ashe. I'm an old... "friend" of Jesse McCree. We're here to bust you out.

They had managed to evacuate the higher floors- One doing his usual strongman routine, Two holding his breath through clouds of smoke. Three had spread rumors that people weren't afraid, that they could get out of the building.

And it had all come crashing down before he and Ben could get out.

Honestly, he has Ben to thank for not joining those he sees- those tentacles of his had managed to keep too much rubble from falling on their heads. But they were buried. A pocket of air no bigger than a crypt. And he? Was terrified. ]

[ Honestly, waking up in the middle of an unfamiliar room, handcuffed to another person isn't the worst of it. The worst of it is feeling like someone beat her over the head with a battering ram. But the second worst?

Second worst is definitely when Kipp tries to shapeshift into something very small — a chipmunk, very small wrists — and it only half-completes before she finds herself back in her normal form.

She frowns deeply and looks, in confusion, at the person on the other side of the handcuffs. ]

Her free hand reaches to rub at her eyes in a lazy sort of manner, the short black haired girl taking the moment to glance around. She blearily remembers shouting, a scuffle of some sort before she was shoved into a room. Jinsee eyes Haruma curiously from her spot next to him silently, her other hand shifting to prod at her scraped knees.]

It was just slowly registering to her that they were handcuffed together, the girl giving a dull blink as she gives an experimental tug of her handcuffed wrist to test the strength. Was she being bullied again? It wasn't anything out of the ordinary to her, but being handcuffed was something new. This was a predicament, wasn't it?]

This wasn't the best. Of course there were a lot of situations in his life that weren't amazing, including the time where he'd died. A few near deaths too. Heart ripped out, almost crashing into water from an insane height which would have knocked him unconscious and run the chance of drowning, the time where... You know what, not worth it to list the whole things. What mattered now is that had been another one of those conflicts in New York. What had led to Quicksilver himself throwing himself into the conflict that the Young Avengers should have been able to handle wasn't really a question Prodigy could answer.

What he could say for himself was that he was pretty sure he'd gotten the last civilians out of the building before it had come down. And were it not for the older hero, he likely would have been crushed. Of course now they were in a relatively small space, concrete trapping them on all sides, and he's only got the fact that he knows Pietro can lift an insane weight keeping him from a full on panic.

"So... you know you could probably phase out of here."

And in the process, possibly destabilize things and get David killed but really, not the worst choice.
