LETTER WRITING MEME The art of letter writing is so easily lost to us, but here's a chance to recapture it! Your character can write a letter to another here. Whether it turns into a scene from there or you just write letters back and forth ad infinitum doesn't matter: what matters is it starts with something written. Heartfelt or passive-aggressive is your call. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant. • Reply to other people's top levels! Write them a letter, send them a note, post something on their door, whatever. • Feel free to make it pretty for #aesthetic purposes, but make sure it's all legible or else no one will be able to read it. • Have fun!

I do not know when this letter will reach you, if at all, nor in what condition it will be, but at the very least I hope it finds you well. Things are going as smoothly as they can, this close to Isengard, and the majority of my patrols are exercises in long stretches of intense boredom punctuated by very brief flurries of activity. The Wildlings encroaching into our lands cannot put up much of a fight against a fully-armed éored, and so when they see us approaching, they tend to scatter into the mountains once more. I miss you My men are not the most diverting conversationalists, but at least we are practiced in keeping each others' spirits up, though I know many of them miss their wives and children. Please pass on news of their continued good health to those who might be interested — I will enclose what notes I am given, though not all of the riders can read or write — and if you can, give me what news you know of those left behind when you are able to write back. I wish I am sorry there is nothing terribly exciting to report to you. I don't know What injuries we have sustained have all been minor, and therefore we have no need to race back to Eodras and will undoubtedly continue our patrol for weeks yet.
What I wouldn't give to return to you Is there anything you would like from the markets? I do not know if any merchants are selling wares out here that one cannot find in Edoras, but if you have a request just name it.
