THE FIGHT MEME

What else needs to be said? Release your inner warrior and partake in some epic (or hilariously bad) battles! Do you use a sword? Are you a martial arts master? Are you a wizard? Can you even fight?

It doesn't matter if you're just having a friendly spar or deciding the fate of the universe. You're suddenly filled with the urge to fight the next person you meet. Cut loose and show off your skills!

(ooc: Adam here has an ability that would help him against All Might to some degree. He can absorb damage through his sword and dish it back out. That said my estimation is All Might would win hands-down.

I'm thinking to spice it up it'd be a situation where All Might is trying to save a young man from remaining a villain so while fighting he doesn't want to end it too early while he has a chance to talk him down.)

((ooc: Totally understand there. I figured I'd AU him into MHA to make the transition easier. The idea I'm going with is that he's a villain who specifically targets people without quirks. Reason being is when he was younger he ended up the target of the vestiges of anti-quirk terrorists. Possibly people that All For One riled up.))

[Generally speaking he's a wussy baby but I have other game versions of him that might present an actual challenge, such as The Version That's Older and Traumatized and Knows Wizard Magic, or The Version Where He Gained Reality-Warping Powers By Being in a Boy Band. Or, y'know, he's from a mecha anime so MECHA BATTLES. Open to everything except 10. Come at me bros.]

The sun is sliding gradually down toward the horizon, turning the rolling ocean waves into a rippling sheet of gold. A few dozen meters away, jungle foliage rustles in a gentle late-afternoon breeze. The the muted roar of lapping water and the cries of seabirds blend with the ambient hum of insects and distant calls of canopy-dwelling creatures.

On the stretch of smooth white sand in between trees and water, two mechanical forms face each other.

The Geno Saurer utters a deep, rumbling growl that shudders through its frame. Jamie can feel it in his sternum, resonating with his own nervousness and excitement. It's been so long since he's been in an actual fight, and he's never used the Geno in battle. She's hungry for this, he can tell, and if he's honest with himself? He is a little, too.

He thumbs on the comm unit to address his opponent; a little tweaking with the systems managed to bypass the barriers posed by two wildly differing mech types from different universes.

"Ready whenever you are." A little impulsively, he adds: "I'm really looking forward to this."

((Sounds good. Maybe he can get a second chance at UA or it's just All Might in the aftermath visiting him to make sure he has a good role model. Either way let me know if this starter works for you.))

Adam was a dangerous villain. He had yet to be captured, and was quickly rising in infamy. He had appeared seemingly out of nowhere. A man in a white mask that looked like a monster. His methods were unclear at first until a pattern began to show. His targets were companies with CEOs that were people without quirks.

Surprisingly for as hostile as he was he hadn't killed anybody yet. Just left them battered and bruised before stealing everything he and the people allied to him could carry. Still there was a dangerous edge about him that his victims would describe. That there was something bubbling beneath the surface and he very well could have killed them at any moment.

This was another one of Adam's heists. A high-profile company with another owner that didn't have a quirk. He made his way through the darkened halls thinking this would be another case of an easy grab and go. However in this case he was wrong. The heroes had caught on to what he was doing and one hero in particular had offered to track him down and put a stop to him. The question was how would he make his entrance?

Duo chuckled to himself. Ever since landing on this island and getting stuck, he had to admit he'd met some interesting people. He'd never encountered a mech that seemed to have its own mind before (the ZERO system didn't count), but these Zoid mechs seemed to be pretty interesting. So, he was curious how the Geno would match up against Deathscythe... especially the upgraded version. He'd added a few custom features since having to finish it on his own after busting out of Lunar Base before it was fully complete.

Now, they stood on the beach of the island, away from the small cluster of huts and other buildings that had slowly accumulated over time as people came and went, facing off in the sunset.

"Me, too, buddy," he said back. "Should be fun to see how these two fare against each other."

He drew the scythe, twirling it to get a feel for it again. It had been a while since he'd been in combat with it... between the island and the desert, but he could use the exercise. He left the blade part turned off for now. He didn't want to actually slice open the other mech. This was just some fun sparring.

"Let's do this."

The wings that covered his Gundam's chest while closed slowly opened to give him some extra maneuverability, even if it meant less shielding, and he pushed off, vernier engines flaring to life for the charge towards his opponent.

All Might has always had a habit for flashy entrances, documented throughout his years of hero work. At first it was because it looked cool, back when he cared about that - these days it's because it tends to catch villains off guard long enough that he can wrap this up quickly, before he reaches his time limit and people won't ask questions. So flashy it is. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

Today, "flashy" means dropkicking the emergency exit door Adam just passed.

The door goes flying into the opposite wall as All Might slams through, knee first, and he looks even bigger in person than he did in all the posters and magazine spreads. His eyes are deeply shadowed, enough that it'd be difficult to see his eyes. He's even got the same smile plastered on his face, even if it looks like a grimace, and he'll dart faster than the eye can see to block Adam's path. He even has time to plant his hands on his hips, legs akimbo, and look almost obnoxiously...heroic.

"SO! WE FINALLY MEET," All Might's voice booms, an immediate 0 to 60. "I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GET DOWN ON THE GROUND AND LET YOURSELF GET ARRESTED!"

But this isn't the typical villain. Adam's particular choice of targets drew his attention and so maybe he's got a personal stake in it. The Quirkless are few in number these days but they're out they're, they're people. Midoriya. Hell, he remembered what it'd been like and it hadn't been as rare even a few decades ago. So yeah. It's a sore spot, a red flag and here he is, looming over Adam and wondering why he's gone this unconventional route.

Caught off guard was definitely right. The last thing he expected was for an emergency exit door to suddenly be kicked and then the number one hero to be standing right there in front of him. It was hidden behind the mask, but he was definitely wide-eyed and gaping for a moment.

However he seemed to cool almost unsettling in how quick he switched. "and why would I do that?" His tone was cocky. In truth his heart was pounding, but while he didn't know this he was employing a similar mental trick to All Might's smile. Even when things looked his worst he had to at least pretend he had control over the situation.

"If anything I would say you should just leave and pretend you got here too late," he drew his sword quickly. "I don't want to fight you All Might, but I'm not going to be caged by your masters either."

Adam would wait to see what All Might was going to do. If All Might attempted to attack straight-on Adam would block the blow with his sword and rather than the sword breaking or Adam buckling under the strain the blow would be absorbed. At most the momentum would push the young man backwards a bit.

If All Might didn't do anything other than talk though for the moment Adam wouldn't lash out at him at the moment either. He was being honest, he didn't want to fight All Might.

A thrill of mingled apprehension and excitement surges through Jamie when he sees the scythe deployed - ignited or not, it's a nasty-looking weapon, and the thought of facing it in battle is more than a little daunting even if it just for fun. As Deathscythe's wings extend, the Geno flexes its foreclaws and snarls, responding in kind to what it perceives as a threat display.

Then the Gundam is hurtling toward them, and Jamie has only a split second to react. The thing is fast, but Jamie's good at dodging, and his Zoid jukes to the side with a roar of ankle-mounted boosters. The Geno lands solidly on one foot and pivots to follow Deathscythe with its head, jaws snapping at a passing wing only a moment before its nose guns flare to life.

Adam's mask makes it hard to see where he's looking, so he's stuck with making a guess judging from where the mask is positioned, what his mouth is doing.

All Might doesn't let the smile drop. He can't. He mustn't.

"I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME!"

He sees the sword. It isn't the first weapon someone's drawn on him and it won't be the last. None of them have slowed him down in his heroic work. All Might shows his age by doing exactly what every TV show and viral video has shown him to do - he comes at him head first, seeming to go from simply standing there to suddenly being within punching distance in the time it takes to suck in a breath. He'll loom over Adam, larger than life, and his mighty hand reared back for a punch that he plans to hold back. Villain or not, Adam's still human. He wants him in handcuffs, not decapitated!

As All Might would find out Adam was fast enough to keep up with him at least to some extent. He raised his sword not to attack, but instead block All Might's attack so he punched the side of the sword. Rather than the blade breaking or even Adam being pushed back he withstood the attack.

Adam quickly jumped back and let out a sigh "I really didn't want to do this. You're on the wrong side, you're being used!" Given All Might's years of dealing with villains All Might would probably be able to pick up that Adam at least believed what he was saying.

From his distance from All Might Adam slashed his sword vertically and when he did a red energy came out of the sword and ripped towards All Might at high speeds, tearing up the ground as it went. It wasn't as fast as All Might or a bullet though, Adam was hoping the confined space of the hallway would restrict All Might's movement, but that wasn't a guarantee.

[Bring it Dinah! :P If you're interested that is?]

"I DOUBT THAT. LET'S JUST GET THIS OVER WITH."

Adam does have one thing nailed down exactly: the lack of space does hinder his heroing. All Might tries to avoid damage to property and buildings if he can, if it isn't an immediate life or death situation. He's confident he can capture Adam - doing it as fast as he normally does, though? Now that's another thing entirely. To be totally honest, this would've been easier if they'd been outdoors instead of a hallway that feels too cramped for his bulging muscles.

The red energy catches him by surprise. If he dodges, he'll bowl over the restroom door and possibly catch anyone inside. He's forced to take the slash, the red energy actually kicking him back a step.

Not often that happens! He might even be a little surprised.

All Might responds by spinning, punching again, and he's a blur as he aims low this time, right at Adam's feet. The air pressure of his punch will make standing difficult as the floor itself rocks and rolls like they're going through a mid-sized earthquake.

"If you want to do it the hard way then that's just what we'll have to do."

Adam while acting confident definitely didn't feel that way in reality. This was All Might. He was fighting the symbol of peace of all people. There was no other way in Adam's view. Running would just mean being pursued by All Might and not knowing about his time limit meant he was pretty convinced the hero would just keep pace until he was caught anyway.

So he had to fight and hope to incapacitate All Might enough that he could escape. He didn't expect one hit to do much to All Might, in fact he had just hoped to make him back off.

He's able to block All Might's attack so he wasn't punched directly, but there was no blocking the effect he had on the environment. The shaking of the floor beneath him had Adam falling to his knees, his hands occupied with using his sword to steady himself. It left his face totally exposed to a punch.

All Might's fist comes down like a meteor about to wipe all life from the planet.

He slows at the last second, enough for a wave of air to slam into Adam and pin him, his fist opening up until he can grab Adam by his mask, holding his head down. It'd only take a little squeeze to break the mask, a little bit more to cut off blood pressure to his brain and knock him out. He's hoping he won't have to come to that. Maybe there's a chance he can talk some sense into him - after all, he'd displayed some qualities in him that he'd seen in himself, only warped, angry. Lashing out. Maybe Adam could be pointed in a more productive direction.

"IT'S OVER, ADAM," All Might's fingers tighten ever so slightly in a warning, his mask suddenly riddled with a spiderweb of cracks. "LET GO OF THE SWORD AND WE CAN HAVE AN ACTUAL CONVERSATION."

Adam finds himself knocked to the ground but his hands still clutch to the sword for dear life. He's not super-strong like All Might so he found himself forced down by that air pressure. There was a definitely a real danger of All Might beating him right here.

"It's not over," he replied and before All Might could try to subdue him he released the energy in the sword. As it was stuck into the ground it had nowhere to go so instead of traveling in a line it resulted in an explosion that would knock them both back. Adam wasn't immune to his own attacks after all. It'd work to separate them, but he would definitely be bruised and may even have a few broken bones.

He rose to his feet and as he did the mask would crumble and fall apart revealing what was beneath. Adam's left eye was branded over with a symbol and by how the wound was healed it had been a long time ago. All Might would have to think back quite some time to recognize the symbol, back to when those with Quirks were looked at by some as nothing but a danger, less than human. They were extremists and they targeted those with Quirks. It seems that at least some who still held that view had survived long enough to harm Adam. A boy who wasn't much older than Midoriya.

"You might be content to be their lapdog, but I won't be contained by human scum again." Adam's voice was full of hate. The reason why now being pretty obvious, he had a permanent reminder of what had been done to him and the group responsible.

Nice move. Duo grinned in response, making himself hard to hit with a few well-timed swerves. The massive machine landed hard in the sand, finding it a little hard to stay upright, but he managed well enough. Sandrock was the one that handled loose sand much better as it had larger feet. That didn't stop Duo from still trying. He wasn't going to give up easy. He turned, the shield coming up to protect the cockpit, and the machine guns on either side of Deathscythe's head came to life in response.

He gets kicked back another few steps - surprising how often that doesn't happen - and he's still getting to his feet from where he'd actually been forced down to one mighty knee. When he does, he gets a glimpse of what's behind that mask. The symbol...yeah, he remembers that, mostly back when he was younger. You almost never see it around these days, decades into his hero work, but back when he was young and green and heroes were closer to vigilantes than the unified front they have today. That hadn't sat well with some groups. They'd targeted those with Quirks, as if every one of them could be a vigilante hero in the making, and branded those they had supposedly "cured" of any heroic tendencies.

Or so they claimed. The extremists that were caught and stood trial found out that didn't hold up in court.

All Might stands, once again towering over Adam even when he's not breathing down his neck. One giant hands comes out, palm up, as if he's trying to show that he isn't armed (it's a reflex, really, because he doesn't need a weapon to take down a villain. Or...something like this Adam). Misguided, angry; hurt.

"THE GUYS THAT DID THAT TO YOU? THEY'RE LIKELY BEHIND BARS. YOU CAN TALK WITH ME AND WORK THIS OUT OR I'LL BE FORCED TO END THIS. LET ME GIVE YOU A SECOND CHANCE."
