![]() hidden relationship; The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not supposed to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own. Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. In a way, it's ideal. ...still, do you ever wish you could scream from the rooftops how much you care for your significant other? how to play.

But sharing things with him feels different. He has never flinched from her. When she drifts up next to him to show him something she'd found, or tell him a quiet story that had come to mind, he is surprised and pleased. Each time, she slips away again looking forward to the next time she would have something to share, and that...anticipation...isn't something she'd expected to find again.
So she had kept it close to her, and felt the yawning loss of it when they had been forced apart (when she had forced them apart). On the Raft Wanda had thought of him, when she had thought of anything at all, and then Steve had come for them, taken them to Wakanda, and she'd looked at the hidden majesty of that place and wished Vision were there to take it in with her.
In the end, it had been surprisingly easy to take the skills Natasha had given her and use them (and her magic) to slip through the world, all the way back to the small town in upstate New York near the Avengers facility. The town she'd never seen, the town she hadn't been allowed to visit. There's a small flare of anger at the memory, but it's banked again quickly. That will help no one, and it isn't why she's here. She wants to see him again.
This is safer than the town, but it feels like a fairy tale, walking to the woods, waiting for him in a clearing that overlooks a small river.]
I wasn't sure you'd come. ...no. That isn't... [Her fingers twine and lock in front of her, the only way she has of disarming herself.] I wasn't sure I had the right to ask you to come.

I will always come to you, always come when you call. You have my word, and nothing matters more to me than you.
[[Words he has thought of, but never spoken of, not even quietly. words he has been planning since well... since the airport. These moments with her, these meetings, these shining changes in his life make him feel alive.
He takes a breath, something he does not need, but something that does feel right, and turns to face her.]]
Of all those who live, you have right to call me, and always will. And I have been working on something to show you. A thing for you, or for us both, really.

I won't forget. I can't. Leaving you behind, it was like leaving behind a part of myself.
[She reaches up to skim her fingers down his cheek, basking in the quiet hum of his presence, and tips her head with interest.]
Working on something? What is it?
