1. Post with your character.
2. In your comment, have your character ask a question. Would you rather ________ or _________, where the blanks are anything your character would like to know from anyone who might respond. Maybe they're asking out of curiosity. Maybe they have a dilemma of their own. Who knows.
3. Respond to other characters, whatever catches your own character's interest or whatever they'd like to talk about. Maybe they can't decide between the two. Maybe it's an easy answer. Maybe they think the question sucks. Discuss. Chat. Take turns.
4. ????????
5. Profit.

So, really lowkey stuff then? Nothing major. Just a hobby.
[ Is there a smile involved here somewhere? Possibly. ]
no subject
Nothing major.]
Yeah. The only thing I'm really proud of is the coffee maker I made that shocks Barton when he tries to use it. Everything else is just bored tinkering.
no subject
Mm, yeah, makes sense. You seem pretty attached to the stuff. Coffee, that is.
Anyway; I think it's your go.
no subject
Pretty sure I could survive longer without air than coffee. It gets ugly when people try to cut me off.
Apocalypse levels of ugly.
[There's a pause as he considers a scenario for his turn.]
If you spontaneously developed an enhancement, would you rather you could feel people's emotions or hear their thoughts?
no subject
[ Not that anyone's tried to cut her off, but the sentiment's still there. ]
I think either would drive me crazy eventually, but...I guess the second one. [ Dealing with her own emotions is hard enough, thanks. At least thoughts she can process with a little more ease. ]
Would you rather know exactly how you'll die, or the exact day and time?
no subject
[He drags a hand through his hair, mussing it up as he considers the options she's given him. Neither is something he'd want to know, but]
Going with when instead of how. If I knew how I would try to stop it and that way there be madness. When would just assure me that whatever brave and heroic things I do before then will end in success.
Well, survival, anyway.

Might be a little tricky when I'm back across the pond. Although I suppose breaking more noses over sabotaged coffee is a perfectly reasonable excuse to travel.
[ It's a hard one, and not the most uplifting - but it's one she was posed not long ago and kinda stuck with her. ]
I used to think the same, but...I don't know. Either way, it wouldn't exactly be comforting.
no subject
[He fiddles with a pen; passing it from hand to hand and twirling it sometimes like a baton. It's how he thinks.]
If you knew when you were going to die, would you kill yourself ahead of time or let the "proper" time come?
no subject
[ She says with a rare absence of the simmering loathing usually reserved for Tony's sort. There may even be a slight twitch of a smile there, even if it does fade a little with what he asks next. ]
Maybe. I think I'd consider it if I knew how, if it was going to be drawn out or painful or related to my job. When, though...[ She shrugs. ] It'd depend. I'm planning on having more dogs when I'm older - no way is future me going to leave them alone sooner than she has to.
no subject
It's your turn, future dog lady. Which, by the way, is only one step up from being a future cat lady. Slightly less offensive odor.
no subject
It's a title I'm prepared for. [ To go existential, or gross? Those are the best sort of questions if the rounds she's played with Matt are anything to go by. ]
Would you rather produce balsamic vinegar instead of saliva, or sweat mayonnaise?
no subject
Can you imagine trying to hug people on a warm day with mayo sweat? The balsamic would taste awful, but at least I'd still be semi-presentable, which is why it is my choice.
Would you rather smell like manure, or sound like nails on a chalkboard?
no subject
Oh, the latter, easily. I couldn't handle smelling like that for a day, let alone all the time. Much easier to just not talk.
Would you rather be famous whilst alive but forgotten completely after your death, or live your life in obscurity but be revered posthumously?
no subject
Famous while alive. What's the point of fame if you don't get to enjoy it?
no subject
Depends on how bothered you are about being remembered once you're gone.
no subject
I don't know. I mean, I plan for there to be monuments. Statues, towers, maybe a pyramid in the Iron Man colors. Nothing too gaudy. So, about as bothered as the average person?
no subject
no subject
Should we get really fatalistic? Eventually, no matter which option I choose, I get forgotten. Maybe not immediately, but sooner or later this planet - this solar system - is gone and every memory with it. It's guaranteed, same as McDonald's Monopoly every year.
So, definitely famous while alive to enjoy it.
Would you rather date someone you love, or date someone who loves you? The two are mutually exclusive.
no subject
Yeah, that's true. Still sticking with my answer though; I'd want to know someone would miss me, even if it was only until they went and died as well.
[ Now there's a question - one that's followed by a few moments of quiet as she puts some thought into her answer. ]
Someone who loves me. At least then I could maybe keep my fingers crossed that I end up feeling the same way.
[ For someone who keeps almost everyone at arms length, the idea of not being loved at all and just forgotten about really gets under her skin. ]
Would you rather have one wish granted now, with wishing for more wishes not being an option, or have five wishes granted a decade from now?
no subject
My God, you're a romantic. I should've known. No, really. I should have. I usually have a better sense for these things.
[He's actually a little disappointed in himself.]
I'm a futurist; I'm always looking ahead. I'll take five wishes in a decade.
no subject
I've been called a lot of things, but 'romantic' is certainly new.
Probably should have seen that coming.
