Your character falls asleep, or is knocked out, and finds themselves in a dreamworld which is their own personal paradise.

However, this is a trap - And now, their friends have to come and wake them up!

Your character can be the Dreamer or the Dream-diver, who's trying to wake them up. Being the Villain who entrapped them in the first place, or a fellow slumberer trapped in the Dream is fine too.

[Sample Dream Scenarios]

1. It's pretty much the same as their real life, except that it's just a little bit sparklier and nicer then normal.

2. It looks close to their real life on the surface, but the sparkle factor is much stronger in this one - They're basically whatever they wanted to be, deep down inside. Maybe they wanted to be the smartest, or most popular, or most beautiful, or most talented person in their class, town or family? Well, now they will be!

3. It's a wish fulfillment fantasy, plain and simple - They wanted to be a pop singer or a movie star? Well, now they are!

4. Pull out all the stops - Want to be a King or a Queen, or maybe a Magical Girl? It doesn't matter how impossible it is in their real life - In this dream scenario, those wishes will all come true!

5. They wanted their father, mother or any other person important to them to say they were proud of them? They wanted to be considered to be better then their brother, sister, other family member or fellow student, etc etc etc? Those wishes have been granted - Too bad it's all a dream...

6. Be it the death of important people or something else, they bad thing that hurt them badly never happened - or even better, was averted at the last moment, in this dream scenario.

2. The Dream-diver - Your character is the one who is trying to save the person who's trapped in their dreams.

4. The Fellow Slumberer - Your character just happened to be trapped in the same Dream as the Dreamer is.

[It was a strange blur of colours and emotions that dragged her deeper into her slumber, so far that not even a shake or a yell would wake her.]

[For a moment, there's nothing but white. Like a blank canvas. And then there's splashes of colours, painting the location, dropping like ink and filling in the gaps. Rose doesn't recognise the scenery, but she feels like she should recognise the strange man in the bow tie appearing along with it.]

H- hello?

Angela Orosco | Silent Hill

[ Sleep, Angela finds, is not something that comes terribly easily to her.

In fact, she actively avoids it. She can't remember the last time she comfortably slept for any sustained period. The very idea of leaving herself open and vulnerable frightens her. When she tries, she remembers things that she wish she couldn't. She remembered the door opening as she lay in bed. The smell of alcohol. Heavy breathing. Plodding, hard steps.

Hands.

When she does manage to coax herself to sleep, it's only for a few hours, if she's lucky. Her dreams turn to nightmares quickly, and once they did, they never liked to let go. Angela's subconscious is a disgusting place; one that she doesn't like to visit. When she sleeps, it's never for very long, and it's never pleasant.

So, when she finally succumbs to exhaustion and dozes off in Blue Creek Apartments, she expects the worst when she finds herself frighteningly lucid.

In her dream, she's wandering the streets of Silent Hill. There are parked cars around. It's well into the evening, but she sees nobody else.

It takes her a moment, looking around. Wondering when the quiet will be broken. Then, she recognizes this scene. ]

Angela!

[ She doesn't need to turn to hear who's talking to her.

Panic rises like bile as she recognizes her father's voice. She tries to clutch the knife to her chest, only to realize it isn't there at all. Angela looks down to her hands in despair, but as the voice calls to her again, she does the next best thing she can do.

She runs.

Angela turns down the nearest alleyway, barely sparing the time to look back, and sprints. She turns every chance she gets. She needs to get away.

She's thankful that she can run this time, if nothing else.

Eventually, she stops, scrambling to reach the farthest corner of the alley, and hunkers down. Angela hears footsteps from all around as she sits, fingers in her hair, hoping desperately that her escape had done the trick. ]

... Angela. Honey.

[ It hadn't.

There were footsteps, a very slow approach. Angela doesn't look up, and instead, tries to keep her eyes on her knees. She wasn't sure whether she thought his voice sounded more frightening soft as it was now, or as it was normally. Harsh and loud. Her fingers scratch against the denim of her pants, and she curls into herself. ]

Please don't. [ The words are choked out, barely escaping her. Protest is difficult and fruitless, in her experiences. Even in dreams. ] Please go.

[ The footsteps stop. ]

Angela.

[ Against her better judgement, Angela looks up. Her father is there, staring at her with a look she couldn't identify. Where was Joshua? ]

Me and your mother, we've. You've worried us sick with all of this.

[ The kindness raises her suspicion. She eyes him, but doesn't move. She tries to digest the stark change; trying to understand. She stares, but can't find the words for what's happening.

He takes a few steps forward; instinctively, Angela shucks herself as far back into the corner as she can, as if she hopes to vanish in it. He's undeterred, but keeps a safe distance, holding out his hand to help her up when he's close enough. ]

C'mon, Joshua's in the car, we can just... we can go home, and talk about this. Please? [ Angela stares carefully at his hand, but doesn't move to take it. She's not sure what to think of any of this. ]

Please. We just want to understand what's wrong. We love you very much.

[ She stares at him, unblinking, unable to muster any sort of reaction to his words. She wasn't used to her father speaking to her like this. She had been expecting the worst after what little she'd said. After a moment, Angela braced both hands on the wall behind her and worked herself to her feet. Her father smiled, let his hand drop and turned away.

Instead of following immediately, Angela simply stared at her feet. Her vision grew bleary.

She wanted so badly to believe that this was happening. It hurt. ]

[Ralph had dozed off somewhere, perhaps in his brick pile, maybe in Tapper (as he had previously on occasion), possibly on a train or in one of the stations, or maybe he was napping under a peppermint tree in Sugar Rush.

Wherever he had fallen asleep at, he was now trapped in a wish-fulfilling dream.

Getting a medal had been exactly like he had imagined. The Nicelanders being nice to him for once? Check! Getting to live in the penthouse? Check! Being able dance at the parties and be wanted there? Check! Gene living in Ralph's old home in the dump and looking in at what his life used to be? Double check!

Things were finally going great for Ralph. All the love, adoration, and desserts he could want, nobody running from him or upset with him, and even parties in his honor!

Not only that, but aside from his job, he was less clumsy and accident-prone. Medals really did work miracles!

It's going to take a lot to pull him out of this too-good-to-be-true dream and he's not going to want to leave willingly.]

Page didn't know how in the hell Reaver had gotten himself trapped in the Demon Door with the odd flower decorating the front - none of them did, you'd think he'd be smart enough to avoid it - and she didn't care to find out; the problem was that the Queen was in desperate need of the man for some reason Page also didn't care to find out.

She'd arrived at the castle that morning for her hearing with the Queen regarding the Bowerstone Old Quarter, but had instead been brought to the War Room by Hobson, to find that Reaver - who, of course, was contesting her proposal - was nowhere to be found. However, the Queen had managed to work out where it was he'd gone. What they needed, however, was someone with intricate knowledge of Bowerstone to find it.

Page had been less than impressed to discover that she had been their first pick.

So now, with the promise of restoration of the Old Quarter as her incentive, Page agilely navigated the depths of the city to find just where Reaver had gone. The Queen had warned her about the dangers of what lay ahead, and how she needed to be prompt if she was going to have any chance of not only returning with Reaver, but returning at all.

The door ahead of her, Page paused, grimacing. The last, the very last place she ever wanted to go was face first into Reaver's ideal fantasy; frankly, it sounded bloody appalling and she was incredibly tempted to tell the Queen that she was asking far too much. But Page knew she owed her, and the people of the Old Quarter were growing desperate. Gritting her teeth, Page tugged the door open, holding her breath as she dove into the swirling pink mass.]]

[Perhaps she has become so accustomed to madness that if she noticed she would not care. Alice lounges against a tree on the riverbank, a book in her lap. Her dress is clean and her face is full and healthy, as beautiful as she is in Wonderland.

Alice can see Reverand Dodgeson (has he published his books yet) rowing his boat down the river with the White Rabbit seated across from him. The snout of the Mock Turtle occasionally breaks the water before he dives again to hide from his amusing little paranoia. In the tree the fat Cheshire Cat sits curled with his tail against his nose, smiling his benevolent smile down upon her.

Her parents and Lizzie are having a picnic on the riverbank. Occasionally their laughter drifts over to tickle her ears. No fires here, just sunlight and water and the shade of the sweeping mushrooms.]

Music Meister performs before an infinite crowd. No need for hypnotism, it's the power of his performance that sways them into wild cheers and enthusiastic applause. They adore him like no other. Their shirts bear his insignia, they wear hats based off his design and rubber bracelets with his name emblazoned on them.

His family, the police, the Arkhamites--ah, there's Riddler wearing a set of his glasses--the musicians he's idolized in the past, everyone he's ever wanted to impress is in the front of the crowd. Even Batman is down there clapping in time with the music. It'll take more than a bright fantasy to actually make Batman smile but he's obviously enjoying the show.

Meister revels in their applause, for he needs no other sustenance. He is their god of music, their one true love.]
