There wasn't as much of a zollezo presence down in the Skew, and here in the more forgotten streets of the poorest, people definitely minded their own business when things were going down. Bodies could be easily disposed of in the dark waters of the broken Sluiceweave through open grates.

It wasn't a coincidence that Molly had been lured here.

This is a lot of things he doesn't like, and quite frankly he is irritated on top of being just a little bit frightened, but irritation is easier to deal with. He's normally a lot more fearless, but dying that second time sort of shifted his perspective of mortality just slightly. Life is short, etc. No one lives forever, but seriously can I fucking live for longer than a few months this time? Fucking hell.]
