For whatever reason, you just can't hold your tongue.
You're going to tell everyone exactly what you're thinking about today and they're going to damn well listen to you.

 

How to play
1. Post with your character and fandom, you can leave it blank or start it off with an opinion
2. Go bother other characters and tell them exactly whats on your mind, could be about them or could just be an unrelated opinion!
3. Rant on, brotha's and sista's.

But Father did. [ There's a lean in his chest. Fingers pointing inward to his chest before spreading out in gesture. He'd made a point of not calling Odin his father, but his emotions are slipping and it escaped him.

Maybe Loki could justify himself - he was always lying, he started out innocent enough but slowly and surely and he didn't know how it happened - that all he did was in good of heart. He tried, he wanted to be -- but he wasn't. He didn't know what was true.

Again, he seems stuck for words for just one moment before eyes narrow and he centers himself. ]

No. No, I will not be defined by you; I will not be - I will not be created by your shadow!

Even Father is capable of wrongdoing, we both know this. But he loves you, you are his son as much as I. Who resembles him more in wit and seidr? You are the only one who thinks you my shadow, the only one who thinks you defined by me.

But you are not.

I am a warrior, Loki, and that is all. I have been praised in excess for this, but a warrior does not a king make.

Capable of wrong doing? [ He shakes back a bit. ] This is my life, my life. He ha-- [ Wait, what is he telling you for. ] And you? Where have you been all these years; who have you been talking to that make you think it just perception of mine? [ Unbelievable. His fingers curl, he just -- he's over it. Stuff it away. ]

It matters not. [ Loki straightens again. ] I have to do this, and so I will. You can have your throne. It is no matter to me anymore.

[He's just going to grab you and give you a little shake.

And then. He's smiling.

Because Thor has a clever idea.] You wish to be my equal? Then equal we shall be. I, Thor Odinson, renounce my title as Prince of Asgard, renounce the name of Odinson, renounce my claim to the throne and renounce my citizenship of Asgard- [Internally, he's panicking because, this was all well and good in theory, but he hadn't actually thought it out.] Until Loki reclaims his own titles and citizenships.

There. We are homeless wanderers with no family name, and no titles, together.

-- [ Give him a moment; let his brows crease in as he comprehends the words. Thor, you are stupid. It could have been beneficial to use this moment, truly. Yet so much a part of him needs to find a statement of what he is, he is so bent on being the enemy, that when it's crashed the idea of cleverness slides from him and makes room for his odd sense of care. ]

What? [ A moment. ] Get your hands off of me, you oaf. [ And he will find a way to remove them, stepping back. ]

You can't just renounce yourself [ Slightly hypocritical ] are you mad? Did you learn nothing of leadership, of court, of politics. Do you know anything at all [ he leans forward a bit in expression ] Your head is more hollow than the caves of Nornheim, I bet if I speak in to your ear I'll hear it ricochet out the other side.

[Thor oh so reluctantly lets go. Mother had given him a lecture on trying to hold too tightly to the things he cared for. The things being Loki. And Thor's stranglehold being suffocating to those who needed space.]

You did. Thus I can. I can and I have and I'll not take it back. [He tips his jaw, sets it stubbornly. Still a bit of a manchild.] Should you not be proud? I recognize my lack of fitness to lead, if I cannot even earn the loyalty of my brother, how could I ever hope not to lead Asgard to ash and ruin.

[ No, no stop taking this from him. Stop it. He steps back again not sure how to deal with this. ] I had not, it was taken from me! [ But there's a slight desperation to his voice. ] When the All-Father denied me it was taken.

[ A hand sweeps out; and thinned voice speaks. ] They already would follow you, they'd fallow you in to fire if you commanded it. Do tell when my opinion had ever been a matter in it.

Then they are fools, as well. [Thor's voice gentles and he lays a hand on his brother's shoulder.] I am not the All-Father and I do not wish to be.

We can change, everything, Loki. We can write a future different and better than the one we were headed towards. Is that not the better vengeance? Orchestrating change from the old traditions, relegating them to naught more than obsolete memories, points of reference for how much better we have made things.

I cannot do that. It can only be done together, with you.
