Uh oh! Looks like something weird is happening, here! Did someone forget to pay the electricity bill? Or has that storm outside caused a blackout? Who knows! Reasoning aside, you are now trapped in darkness. You can't see anything, anything at all! And you can't even adjust to this darkness, for some reason! There's only black, black, black. Something about this room is odd, for certain!

How this is going to go down
♦ You will post as your character as ANON, because you're in the dark!
♦ There is no putting your character's name in the subject line. However, if you like, you can put your character's series/canon. It's no fun if you know who you're interacting with right away!
♦ You're free to set up your character fumbling around in the dark and such, just so you remember which comment is yours in this anon mess, if anything.
♦ Those who reply to you will roll the RNG for the specifics of the situation!
♦ Yay! In the dark shenanigans!!
♦ When you guys are ready, the lights go on, you can log into your character journals, and it's time to admire the awkward in the light.

♦ ONE: WHY IS IT SO SMALL AND CRAMPED IN THIS ROOM? Wait, this isn't a room, this is a closet. It looks like you've been locked inside for Seven Minutes in Heaven, or just for shits and giggles! The door doesn't seem to be opening, and it sounds like some ... Barry Manilow is playing? Oh, talk about awkward.
♦ TWO: BRR, WHY IS IT SO COLD? Looks like your clothes are missing! For some reason, you're only dressed in your underwear, or even commando if you feel like being really mean to your muse. Are you in bed with someone? Just can't find your clothes? Are THEY wearing your clothes? Up to you, because it really doesn't make it any less awkward.
♦ THREE: A LITTLE HANDSY: Did someone just cop a feel? There's a lot of accidental (or... not accidental groping going on, for whatever reason! Talk about an awkward situation, mmmhmm!
♦ FOUR: OOPS, STUCK! One of you is stuck somewhere in this room, and can't get out! Either in a hole in the floor or tied to a bed or something! Whatever you can think of! Hopefully the other person can help you out in the dark.
♦ FIVE: ON AND OFF! Rather than totally darkness, the lights are flashing on and off, creepily. And it looks like there might be monsters in there with you guys?! Or are those illusions?

If you don't want to roll the RNG, that's fine! Go ahead and create your own situation, if you'd like!

[ There's almost an audible roll of his eyes before he moves past the other and pretty much send the door flying off its hinges with one hit of his weapon... Ahh, fresh air. Oh, and whoever you are, you can have your book back. It made an interesting read. He's already taken his pen back (and why did you put scratches all over it?!) ]

... Tch. They're all gone, [ he mutters, glancing back at the other man - and now that there's light from the corridor, it can be seen that he is indeed blind, if the opaqueness of his eyes is anything to go by. ]

[ He sighs. So much for his door. Following after the man with book in hand, he readies a disgustingly superior smirk when he sees (what he thinks is) their familiar silhouette. ]

You've picked up some interesting words, working as a dog, Ko--

[ Whatever else he has to say trails off when he sees their eyes. He hasn't been keeping stringent records of his enemy, but as far as he knows, Ko was not blind. ]

--... Ko? [ what kind of drugs is this guy on???? Hibari scowls when he registers the rest of the sentence - look, there's suddenly a tonfa against your neck which is being used to hoist you up against the wall. Oh, is he choking you? So not very sorry at all. 8( And despite his blindness, he seems to know exactly where to look to glare into your eyes. ]

[ Oh wow, he knew that Ko was dangerous, but flaming tonfa? Shougo half-chokes, half-laughs, wheezing out a reply. ]

Oh, that's right - you were an Inspector before I ruined your career, weren't you? Don't tell me you still consider yourself one after all the crimes you've committed under the protection of the law.

[ hold up a moment hibari there's some cross-canon confusion going on in here-- aww, no, don't slam the poor guy's head against the wall so hard that he nearly passes out!! ]

I follow no laws but my own, maggot. [ He all but spits that insult into Shougo's face, pressing down harder with the tonfa, before releasing him abruptly to let him drop to the floor in a crumpled heap of limbs, stepping back and away. ]

You have eyes to see that I am not your Ko. Or are you so stupid as to not know how to use what you have? [ there's no bitterness in that, just pure steel and ice, anger just under the surface. Whoever this Ko was, he silently hoped, they'd put this cockroach in their rightful place before long. ]

[ The poor man sees stars and is almost too dazed to hear the man's next words. When his vision clears, he squints in - for once - genuine confusion at the person who is not Ko. But this man looks so much like the one he knows; only their manner is off. ]

I haven't seen him for a while, [ he says eventually ] You look just like him.

[ The grip on those murderous tonfa tightens slightly, but it's almost imperceptible to someone who wasn't watching for it - it's like he's gearing up to hit Shougo again, but instead the tonfa disappear and he scoffs, turning his back on the other man, shoulders stiff. ]

I don't even know who you are, herbivore. Nor do I care.

( Giving a careless shrug and an off-kilter smile, he picks himself up off the floor and dusts down his book, which he'd dropped after being slammed into the wall. )

I suppose I have to believe what you say. If you see him-- or rather, if you don't - do give him my regards. And tell him I'm waiting.

I'm not a messenger for anyone, [ he retorts stiffly over his shoulder. ] Tell him yourself. [ Having said so, he proceeds to just simply walk away, navigating obstacles in his path with frightening ease, as if he knows exactly where they are without having to look. And that's the last you'll have seen of Hibari Kyouya... or not. Who knows. ]
