No one dies, some deus ex machina saves the world, everyone goes out for ice cream after the final battle, whatever. The moral of the story is, everyone gets a happy ending. Everyone. Slasher movie? Everyone survives the night and the axe murderer changes their ways because they got a puppy. War movie? Both sides decide it's not worth it and sign a peace treaty. So. Like. [ Ritsuka sat at Roman's bedside, clutching his hand in hers and waiting for him to wake up. Da Vinci had run a check up over him, and there had been nothing wrong with him that she could find. They just needed to wait for him to wake up, and the last Master of humanity had volunteered to stay by his side until he did so.

They had left her alone with him, Da Vinci with that small knowing smile that made her blush, before she turned her attention back to him.

She doesn't know how she had did it. He had been about to disappear with that familiar smile, and all she knew that she couldn't bear that - and so she had grabbed him and simply refused to let go.

It couldn't be that simple, she's sure. There had been so much going on, and she's not quite sure what had happened, but she knows: while Solomon returned his gifts with Ars Nova, Romani Archaman was something that belonged to no one but 'himself'. And so as long as he existed in her heart, she refused to let him disappear.

It was a miracle upon miracle - she'd thought she'd lost two precious people today, and yet she was able to return from the temple with both of them. It was over - they had triumphed, and humanity had been restored. ]
