[Camping is one hell of an escape. It's more enjoyable than Karen thinks it'll be. It's too cold to go swimming, but they go fishing and spend the day hiking. She curls up with him in the hammock he's set up and spends hours reading a book. It's an easygoing, happy time. One where there's no threats or danger or any big stories for her to focus on. It's just the two of them out in the wilderness for as long as they want.

By the time either of them get around to hinting they might be ready to head back to the city, she looks like a mountain woman and he looks like a hobo. He hasn't been able to shave, and his beard has filled in quickly. Karen might tease him about it, but she enjoys the look on him. And more than that, she enjoys the way it feels against her skin.

She's sitting in one of the fold up camp chairs, trying to catch up on current events on her phone. It's taking her forever since her service out here is next to nothing, and everything takes time to load. Whether Frank's bored or simply restless because her focus is on her phone, she isn't sure. But he stops paying attention to fussing with the fire and pulls away to sit at her feet on the ground. She intentionally ignores the first few murmurs of her name, not looking at him until she feels the first brush of his beard against her leg. He's kissing a trail upward, and she rolls her eyes at the attempt to pull her away from what she's doing. She's not going to stop him, though. If she's sitting outside in late winter wearing only a blanket and her nightgown, he might as well take advantage.]
