ways to show affection When it comes to the way affection is shown, everyone has a different way they go about it. That means that there's a pretty good chance, with regards to couples, you could end up with two people who have two varying approaches towards how they prove they care...sometimes radically varying, which can lead to more than a little confusion or hurt feelings if there's not proper communication. But when both people are on the same page, they can tell each other how they feel with few words. ☄ Comment with your character, info, prefs, and how your character will likely show affection. ☄ Reply to others. ☄ Thread, my dears! ☆ WORDS: Sweet affirmations, pet names, even ☆ CUDDLES: Hugs, nuzzles, the works. ☆ KISSING: On the check or on the lips. ☆ KINDNESS: Always there for them. ☆ PROVIDING: Providing care, providing protection, providing financially. ☆ GENTLE...ER: Your only weak spot. ☆ MEANNESS: Straight up tsundere. ☆ GIFTS: All the pretty things. ☆ ACTIONS: Visits, taking care of their problems, taking them out, and more. ☆ SUBTLE: A distant sort of affection, but they know. ☆ [ WILDCARD ]

[ Colleen is pretty much the worst at dealing with her emotions. She really didn't feel like talking about them. Talking about them is pretty risky so that's something she avoids.

She can, however, show how much she cares in other ways. Like getting John some very hard to find books. It may have have not been the best or safest idea but Colleen will wave off any concerns.

Clint's stamina is coming back pretty quick, but he still needs to hit the inhaler every so often. But right now as the temp drops and a light snow starts to fall on their walk Clint can feel a dull ache in his lungs, and he slows a little. God this sucks.

He hates it, but the doctors had promised it was only temporary. Clint looks up taking a slow breath snow catching in his lashes. "We should head back." He says frowning a little, "Think my body is noping out." He frowns.

Barry, unlike Leonard in a way, was very tactile when it came to affection. Having lost his mother so young, having lost his father who was innocent at the same time, it left him starving for affection and anxious to both please and be affirmed in his choices. Of course that fact was a double edged sword. His team took advantage of him at times and left him feeling like a failure when he was exhausted and just wanted a little time for himself. They told him he was needed, that he had an obligation to protect the city no matter what.

Well, after a body swapping nightmare caused by a power hungry self proclaimed god Barry just wanted a couple days alone with his boyfriend and his couch. Was it too much to ask for?! Apparently so. After essentially being given a laundry list of reasons why he SHOULDN'T do what he's currently doing Barry had simply left STAR labs and gone home, turning his phone off in the process. He really hopes Len is home because he doesn't really think he can handle being alone right now.

People would be surprised how affectionate Tony Stark actually was. He enjoyed touching and kissing and hugging as long as he was the one extending the pleasure. He was a little leery if he was the one receiving it. But after an evil despot rewrote reality he was glad to be able to hug and kiss his fiance.

"Hey there Bug," he said warmly, "so that was 100 percent kinds of not fun wasn't it?"
