Working at a mechanic's shop wasn't what anyone would call a fulfilling career, but for a retired army officer trying to provide for her family, it wasn't anything to sneer at. That the shop belonged to her uncle and she'd worked there before was also a plus in terms of familiarity.

She was cleaning up the work area after a last appointment when she saw the rider pull up to the garage door entrance. While her uncle's specialty was fixing and repairing cars, he did work on motorcycles as well-it just happened that most of the money was in cars. Sonya worked most summers at his garage during her teen days, so it was only a quick run through to allow her to catch up.

To judge from the guy that pulled up, it was just as well. "Can I help you?"
